at the time had 10+ years experience: pay was under 35 grand, coach at least one more major sport with possibly a second minor sport, teach 3 preps in a six period day, only 30% discount on kids tuition with no discount on afterschool care (mine were too young to hang around practice after school), had duty before school & lunch because non-coaches were not assigned duties... no vehicles or country club or free meals or any of that kind of bonuses were given to any coaches including the 300+ wins Head Coach

Competetive balance multiplier for private schools?
-
True. I should have clarified that i was speaking of Mississippi. The few private school kids that I notice making next level rosters aren't transfers. They grew up in that private school. The path of transferring from MHSAA to MAIS is a fair less successful path. Kid wins multiple state championships and statistically dominates in MHSAA, a college will give him a look, but the same cannot be said for a player that wins multiple state championships and statistically dominates in MAIS.

Biggest misconception in high school football, transferring to a private school will help get a player recruited or prepare a player for the next level

Mississippi needs a multiplier.

Most improved is probably Forest, but Pearl is also massively improved from last year. Seminary gets tested this week, but look much improved so far... Lamar just added a player from a local public school, otherwise they are not back to the Mac Barnes level. Porter's Chapel is undefeated but their competitive part of the schedule is yet to be played

This is very true. Current district AD has destroyed Northeast and crippled Southeast, where he did stints as principal at both places before being promoted due to his lack of success. The revolving door that Northeast has become recently is a direct result of him when he was the principal there. Southeast was just starting to recover from his tenure there until he was allowed to meddle in there again as AD

Multiple people turning them down? Didn't Choctaw go through this last time the hired HC?

Southeast Lauderdale Head Coach position just opened again per the Lauderdale County School District website -
Yes, two don't is close enough to "most." In the south, only Mississippi and Kentucky don't have a method for balancing the competitive advantage of not drawing enrollment from a specific area/district.

This article sums up several southern state's multipliers https://www.ajc.com/sports/high-school-sports-blog/southern-states-have-variety-of-methods-for-dealing-with-public-private-schools/NXWPI2PATNHXZLXJUO6ELOJD74/

This is rare, but you're very misinformed. Too much to correct, but lets start with the first sentence's first state listed. (I am not going to post every single state's multiplier)... Alabama's multiplier: https://www.ahsaa.com/Portals/0/PDF's/AHSAA/AHSAA/Re-Classification/2022-2024/Competitive Balance/CBF Updated September 2021.pdf?ver=Rh7qt2ykO_wFbo_iS-JHIw%3D%3D×tamp=1639580086488

If you don't like or care about soccer, why comment? Why be rude? The multiplier argument directly affects soccer. It affected baseball a few years ago, and the MHSAA forced out the private schools that were dominating those classifications. Most other states have multipliers because this issue has affected basketball and football. If this issue starts affecting your precious football, everyone will change your tune on this issue. But unfortunately because this affects a sport that you don't like, you don't care to the point of being rude to anyone that does

Too many too list but you can start with research in Lousiana, Alabama, and Georgia. Georgia's is best
