Who is leading the state right now in each statistical category at this point in the season? It will be good to give the kids that are having a good year some spotlight. I am not sure if he is leading the state but according to what I could find he is leading the state in rushing yards. McCaleb Taylor of Grenada High School has 295 carries for 2,205 yards and 33 TDs right now.

Kirk Academy 35-3 over Marshall. Sloppy game late! Kirk physically whipped Marshall. #12 Blake Maddux for Kirk could play juco football somewhere and be developed. He has the frame and athleticism.

58-32 DeSoto School wins their 3rd straight. Desoto QB Ethan Phillips had 41 carries for 297 yards and 6 TDs.

They definitely have the ability to win by a bunch. They struggle with teams that possess a good front 7. I know Neshoba has great def line. That could present a challenge for Grenada.

If Neshoba can stop the run then they will make a game of it but in the end I believe Grenada will be too much. I haven’t seen Warren Central but that game depends on which South Panola team shows up.
