You are correct I tried to tell everyone the other day that Tracy was not coming.

I thought so too but WDAM tv just said Bounce . I paid to stream it last year and the service was awful

I say this with no disrespect for any team we played but WJ was without question the best defensive team we’ve faced in a few years. When we played earlier this season they were still searching on offense but it looks like they have found their identity. Being from WC it was hard to pull for WJ lol but y’all hired one of our own as a coach. Good Luck Corey Reynolds and your team.

Man I’ve been hanging around this old Board for a long time. We’ve had a lot of great conversation and fun. This has been a tough year for my War Eagles but God allowed me to wake up again this morning so I’m truly Blessed. Happy Thanksgiving to one and all. If your team is still playing good luck and enjoy the ride.

Congratulations to all the teams still playing. I can remember back in 2003 Wayne County hosted West Jones for South State. The lines started forming before lunch on Friday for the game. If you remember the old version of War Eagle Stadium the visitor side was very small. Also if you were a home fan and wanted a seat you better be early. The lines were so much fun with friendly warfare between the two fan bases it was always respectful in this rivalry.

Yes indeed OT loved his Bearcats. I’ve met Ping Pong and his wife a few times as well wonderful people. I give Ping Pong a hard time very often one thing is for sure he gives it right back lol.

We all had some great conversation back then and I’ve met and made several friends here. One of the best friends I ever met on here was oldtiger50 God Rest his Soul

Yeah I talk with him pretty often I knew he was OC now I’m sure it’s a shared duty. He has been Wr Coach at OS for a few years. This was his first season as OC/WR Coach after they had the coaching change.

That would have to be Tracy Lampley I thought he was OC at OS. But either way I would be surprised to see him coming for anything less.

Through thick and thin Myself and Slick stick with WC. Not always the higher ups but there’s some of the best most athletic kids anywhere around located in WC. I’m sure everyone feels the same about their community at least I hope so

I’m not sure and they very well could have been resting some starters. They are a talented group and really well coached.

After seeing them in person last night they could come out of south 5A. Their running and QB are as good as we saw all season. They are both physical runners and they play ball control. Defense is good play hard and physical. They are a well coached team. i know they have Guatier this week and that will be a good game. If they get past them I believe they will win the South.

Absolutely but also there’s a lot of teams that traditionally were not very good in lower classifications in the mix now. So when the traditional teams rebound and I believe they will 5A still will be the weakest classification overall. Now granted this is my opinion only.

I can remember the early to mid 2000s the playoffs were a marathon and some really good teams. There were three or four rounds to get to Jackson. WC would usually get Laurel, George County, Picayune ,Brookhaven and West Jones in some order. The South State Championship would be a rematch of a regular season game

That’s why last year’s classification was better you had eight region teams with the top four making it. Then the playoffs were competitive at least.

I don’t believe the MHSAA will ever go back they will not admit they made a mistake. They’re not worried about the product they put on the field only that you spend your money supporting it.

Not saying it would have had any difference in WC’s season because it would not have. But look around 5A there’s no dominant teams not throwing disrespect towards anyone. In years past there’s always been those teams that if they met you circled it . I am not seeing that this season I’m seeing a lot of teams moving on like WC with losing records. Granted they won two region games they needed to move on. It’s crazy all all about the money. We can’t get enough officials to call games so let’s expand to seven classes.

Actually Coach Boyles was on Hall’s staff. He left Pearl and came to Coach with Bobby.
