  1. In other words, get practices in early in the morning or late in the evening. Not in the middle of the day or 3:00 in the afternoon.
  2. What are they doing in Pascagoula to get fined? Especially a Middle School at that.
  3. Why would they do that? St. Al in Vicksburg used to be in the MHSAA, but they got away from it and joined the MAIS. I don't think they would want to go back. What would they do about 8-man football that is currently in the MAIS? Also, what would they do with the schools that aren't in Mississippi that are part of the MAIS?
  4. Feaster likes to throw it a good bit. Just need to make sure the Wayne County secondary can hold up. Fast linebackers won't hurt either.
  5. Keep us updated on Pound and Kat. I think it'll be good for y'all.
  6. It's nice to see you back WABO. One of the OG mods LOL.

Went to Bay a couple of years ago and they didn't take cash or GoFan. Ended up getting in for free because they were having trouble with their credit card reader.
  8. I appreciate the reply coach, but I don't think it will be as much of a struggle for Petal as it would be first game jitters. With these early games, off season conditioning plays a much bigger factor. While you wait, you need to hydrate. (No, I'm not talking about Redneck Rivera either LOL).
  9. Ok so that’s the outlier LOL
  10. I mean it could be possible, but you would need a lot of things to transpire before you even get there. If Picayune makes it far enough to play either Hattiesburg or West Jones in the playoffs, that would tell you that Picayune has talent. Even if Picayune were to face off against either one as an underdog, I certainly don’t think anyone would be writing anyone off at that point. Anybody can beat anybody when you get that deep in the playoffs because you don’t make it to that point by accident.
  11. Vott this has nothing to do with Petal at Hattiesburg. If you want to address his comment, he’s mentioning WR corps. You know that’s like pissing in the wind at Picayune. If we ever get a guy to have double digit receptions in a game, that record would take decades to break. We would all be witnesses to history being made if that ever happened.
  12. Well it got watered down by default because you had more district games and fewer non-district games with fewer classifications. Make it mean something again. I think that’s what people want. Also these extremely bad football teams that make the playoffs doesn't help matters either. Making the playoffs needs to be a reward for doing well in district play.
  13. So what happens when you leave the door cracked open for Boyles? I certainly don’t think he’s just going to stand outside and twiddle his thumbs.
  14. Vott, beating someone from start to finish would be a wire-to-wire win. I think that’s what he meant there.
  15. I know. Let’s get this show on the road.

Well it's part of the job and it was never an issue before. All GoFan does is inconvenience people because you have to have cash for concessions. If you're paying cash for that, you should be able to pay cash for admission.

Picayune is doing GoFan only for tickets. They've accepted cash for tickets since the 1920s when Picayune started playing football. The last time I checked, the US dollar is legal tender for all debts public and private. (Oh and GoFan charges a fee, so it's not cheaper at all).

Well @Tiburon Picayune is now cashless. I know you can’t see this reply, but I thought of all places it wouldn’t happen at Picayune. I know you wouldn’t be happy with this and neither am I.
  19. I liked that trip to Brandon a couple of years ago. Took the day off. Went to Bass Pro and ate at Cock of the Walk on the Res and still had time to kill LOL. Tib was there too so it's definitely a good memory.
  20. So is Kat going to help coach football as an assistant to Pound, or is he strictly going to be AD? I feel like he’s going to want to be a help to the boys on the sideline.
  21. And that's fine. I'm just a firm believer in the game rewarding you when you go about playing it the right way. Just look at Poplarville from two years ago for example. I think winning a state title is a whole lot sweeter when you do it in house with home grown folks who are intertwined within the community. That's proof that old-fashioned hard work pays off.
  22. There's nothing wrong with having a goal set to win a state championship. Is there anything sacred to you about high school football anymore or is it a "win at all costs" kind of thing? I realize you want to see Hattiesburg win a state title in the current era, but how do you want Hattiesburg to go about winning it?
  23. Ok, but why has it gotten tough for Hattiesburg to stay relevant? Is there not enough talent within the Hattiesburg School District to win with who you have? People legitimately moving in is one thing, but to go out and actively recruit players that would have had nothing to do with Hattiesburg had they not been "recruited" is a totally different thing. These players have no ties to Hattiesburg otherwise.
  24. Even if it is an old Big 8 stadium, putting the emphasis on the facility isn’t as imperative. The emphasis needs to be on the personnel and how that has evolved or changed since the respective spring games.
