West jones 24 Terry 7 west offense way better with Tootie Lindsey at qb

West jones v terry. West jones started the backup qb. I figured if they worked starter back in this week it would be late. West goes 3 and out to start. Terry throws a pass on a play west sent the house resulted in 50 yard td no one within 10 yards of wr. Terry takes 7-0 lead. West jones gets ball to the injured starting qb who takes it 60 yards to house. 7-7. Terry drive stalls. West comes out with normal starting qb back at qb first time since 3rd q of northeast jones game. gets a false start then 12 yard run followed by a 50+ run but drive stalls around the 10. kick field goal. 10-7 west jones. The big run made possible by Terry having to have a lb and safety spy the qb when he ran to one side in case he kept the ball. Terry gets ball throws a pick around the 50. West throws 30 yard pass that could have had pass interference called on either offense or defense. No csll. Was caught by west. Then a td on next play I missed the play. 17-7 west jones 5:48 left in 2nd.

I too did not think we would win but thought it would be a 28-17 ish type game. But in retrospect should have seen it coming. South Jones defense was able to expose our secondary. Poplarville tried and almost succeeded. What Poplarville did succeed at was showing how to shut down our totally 1 dimensional offense. The backup qb is no where near a big running threat and even worse as a passer. I think he completed 3 passes in 3 and almost a half games. He hates playing qb and was forced into it. We also are a bit banged up on one side of the o line which means 80% we are going to one side. There’s also some behind the scenes things going on. Had a wr walk off the team after poplarville game. Some other things I’m not getting into. As far as the starting qb Lindsey, injury ucl of throwing arm. Supposed to be 2-4 weeks to heal up. Last week was the 4th. They likely try to work him in vs terry. But there is word that if it gives him trouble or is re-injured he will need surgery.

Didn’t Taylorsville beat one of them 3-4 years ago?

Yeah west getting smoked tonight. They flat. No real qb. No receiving threat at all. And prep is amped.

Same thing with west jones and their qb. I doubt we see him vs prep and if they can open a lead on Terry without him he won’t come in. Then they have a bye week. He’ll start practicing then and get some time vs prc and whatever the Jackson school is then be back full time for Hattiesburg.

They did have like 7-8 kids suspended for the game. Almost all starters. But yes I don’t think the score would have been much different. I think their offense has 3 td’s on the year.

Hurt elbow early 3rd of northeast jones game hasn’t played since. Poplarville played most defensive snaps of the game with 10 kids within 5 yards of scrimmage with only the safety almost 10 yards back. Several times all 11 were within 5 yards. No reason to respect the pass when watches not completed but 2 in 3 weeks. I expect prep to beat west next week

West is hurting for a QB and WR’s.

West run down to poplarville 11-12 but drives stalls on the 7 turnover on downs. West forces 3 and out. Poplarville punter on the 1 punts to west 31. 6 minutes left.

West jones 10 Poplarville 7 wj defense is gassed. Offense has 7 plays in 2nd half. If they do not get a sustained drive they in big trouble. Poplarville out coaching west bad. poplarville tries inside kick to end 3rd. West recovers on 40.

There’s a video on Twitter of a fight that starts in hallway gets into classroom of multiple kids that breaks into like 3 different groups. One has 3 kids attack one and hits him over the head with a desk knocking him out. Looks like mccomb needs to expel a bunch of idiots and send them to juvenile detention. And apparently there’s been several instances spread out over a few days.

Im not saying you’re wrong, cause I agree. Except from what I see posted elsewhere there may not have been any hands on in the Louisville/starkville thing. Just some words that shouldn’t have been said.

Happened in the Laurel/meridian fight.

5 starters done for the year. What happened to warrant this response by the people in charge in starkville? Or is it a big overreaction? Laurel and Meridian had multiple fights with punches thrown. Laurels coach was checked out by EMS. And yet nothing there. But Starkville does this. Looks like someone after the coach in starkville.

5A south just that big of a mess.

Big fight after shaking hands. They were not all that last year. They were 4-6 going into final game of regular season and should have lost to stone county. They got hit and went to state. But getting hit is relative as you only need to be lukewarm in 5A south when playoffs start to punch your ticket to state. I wouldn’t be surprised if south jones is playing for 5A south state at this point.
