Didn’t Hughes get a big makeover via some grants a couple years back? I thought all JPS schools were supposed to rotate between south Jackson and Hughes going forward as of a couple years ago. Maybe Jackson needs to seek funds to reopen Newell or renovate north Jackson. Looking at Google earth there seems to be plenty of room for a field next to Calloway.

It would have taken a truly terrible coach, actively trying to suck harder, to not win with that team WJ had 2 years ago. The guys currently flailing around aimlessly at Wayne county and/or Laurel would have went undefeated with that team.

i said last week there were some internal issues at WJ that would cause them to falter the remainder of the season. It hasn’t really manifested during games till last week at Wayne county. But it’s been brewing. The head coach needs to go.
