SSC, OLA, Resurrection, French Camp, Chamberlain-Hunt, Gulf Coast Military Academy, Jefferson Military Academy, Mercy Cross, St. John, both St. Joe's, St. Aloysius, and Natchez Cathedral were among the founding members of MHSAA and its predecessors. A small handful of other private schools have joined MHSAA since, and you can count their combined MHSAA football championships on one hand.

They are boarding schools, as are Piney Woods and French Camp.

My point is that Taylorsville lost to a 3 seed 2A team by two TD's, in reference to this post about Taylorsville: "On 10/31/2025 at 6:02 PM, Mac7633 said: Their non region schedule has 2 of the best teams in their classification respectfully. Outside of Heidelberg, they would compete in 2A and anybody who’s actually watched them would agree" I disagree.

That's a pretty sleazy thing to do, if true. What kind of "coach" with any semblance of credibility, not to mention personal honor, would do such a absolutely cowardly thing?
