No way would MAIS consider that, especially with the multiplier.

Manchester has been 11 man the last three seasons and went 1-9 in 2025 and 2024. It's foolish to suggest a match up with Morton

MAIS isn't struggling. The main idea is to coordinate with both leagues the evolving landscape of athletics (NIL, transfer eligibility, etc.)

I think you may be underestimating Ole Miss' potential. They have a very good team and may win all of those (not realistically likely, but possible).

Hogwash. The only schools where a double multiplier is in effect is for those schools with only one gender - SSC, OLA, and Piney Woods. There has never been a 1.5 in Mississippi.

Some are campaigning for Golden Gators, but I don't think any decision has been made

As a HC at a very small private school I banked 36k, rent-free coach/family housing, country club membership, free meals at the one diner in town (so I paid for other folks meals), hunting club membership, and at cost tires and anything else my vehicles needed. Butts in the stands percentage and a substantial percentage of athletic fundraisers. My kids tuition was paid, too... so not a terribly bad deal, other than having to live one hour from the closest Walmart/grocery store/barber. All told, compensation was probably pretty decent. One and done though. The area was still, at that time, poorly dealing with integration 40+ years later
