Stone has more overall wins, Region wins, and playoff wins than Petal over the last five seasons. Instead of throwing shade maybe try something positive

They went 2-4 in the second half of last season, losing to Stone, Vancleave, and Wayne... all pretty mediocre teams. If that's "really well", then standards have shifted drastically in Laurel.

2-9 Laurel in 2024 is going through challenge for a state title? Not seeing it. They weren't even in shape until the middle of the season.

Jeff Co. is terribly underrated. Really solid program on both sides of the ball. Fayette has never really done much, with a rare exception, in the playoffs - so folks tend to write them off as a team that gets a bunch of soft wins and then melts against real competition. Might not be an incorrect read.

SBL has Loyd Star with 30 (which is accurate) and Wesson with 36 (also accurate). Shows Mize with 51, of which 11 are Sophomores. Maxpreps is junk

I'm really interested in Ethel this year. Adam Smith started something there and Coach Graham knows a whole lot of football, too. Might be a sleeper to keep an eye on.

A. 29 at Stringer (likely win) S. 5 at SE Lauderdale (likely win) S. 12 Union ( toss-up) S. 19 North Forrest (likely win) S. 26 South Jones (loss) O. 3 Heidelberg (loss) O. 10 at Bay Springs (loss) O. 17 at Taylorsville (toss-up) O. 24 Clarkdale (toss-up) O. 30 at Mize (likely loss) IMO it'll take a good bit of luck and great coaching for six wins. We'll see.
