Here's a link to the entire bracket if anyone is interested: https://www.ncaa.com/brackets/baseball/d1/2022

The bond vote just happened on May 17 so I would assume bids haven't even gone out yet

Stone Co. is breaking ground on a new school to be built west of Hwy 49 close to where old 49 intersects (south end). They're going to have their own stadium and field for the first time instead of using Gulf Coast's.

I forgot to mention Porters Chapel in Vicksburg. Their field has rocks and fossilized shells all over - a previous coach there told me they were character-makers.

Just like most school districts, the gangsters are in charge. Cross them and you'll find out.

#1 on the list for me is/was Union Academy in Georgetown. The field was very near the Pearl River and a forest, so the mosquitoes were um... prevalent. Salem for similar reasons - an algae covered lake right beside the football field, especially in late summer (August, September) added humidity that you could cut with a butter knife and yes, more mosquitoes than a little bit. Tchula-Marshall's goalposts were made of PVC and the crossbar sagged.

Philadelphia, Mize, Stringer, and Collins, unless you have some secret squirrel info, are not even in the neighborhood of top 10. North Forrest, too - although they should be much improved... but to go from 0-9 to top ten is a stretch.

Have you researched Newspapers.com?

Some good coaching going on at EHS

Good thing the most qualified people are in charge of making that decision, eh?

Alden Foster has replaced WIllie Brown as HC at McComb

Smith Co. is not so much different than Rankin. Just different ppl pulling the strings.

Morton defeated Moss Point 12-7 and Daphne 12-6

... and to piggyback on this, how'd Meridian do against Callaway?

While Taylorsville may have some problems at the moment, their football teams since 1990 have had exactly two losing seasons. I'd wager they get some pretty sound applications.

Indianola Gentry 0 Louisville 0 - kind of a surprise

Discovery Christian in Florence is advertising for a new head coach on the MAIS site.

Stanhope Elmore requires a higher level of educational attainment for HFC. Apparently, he thought his achievements would speak more than it did.

That's not what the article from the link you posted says.

Simpson and Leake and others have had entire classes of boys who were held back, so there is precedent.

Yes - they played up and out of their collective experience. 8-man and 11-man is a different game with different offensive and defensive sets, alignments, and position assignments. They did it and won by a four TD shutout on two weeks practice. Either NSA is very, very good or WB is the opposite, or a combination of the two.

RPI is what?

Different markets, too. Should be interesting.
