  1. There's a word for this. It starts with "Chicken" and ends with one additional sylable.
  2. Meridian and Laurel seem to be in the same sinking boat. What might be the one major over-riding factor in their demise?
  3. Enterprise size and speed?

  6. MRA 27 Catholic 26. Final Absolutely masterful time management on MRA's last drive, but they scored a little too quick. Catholic failed on their PAT, and MRA ate the last bit of clock. Really good game.
  7. West Bolivar 38 Riverside 0 Riverside has still not scored a single point this season... and they just got curbstomped by the Mighty Popcorn Eagles.

Can you imagine the travel for small schools? Ridiculous assertion
  15. I've been a single wing guy, rather obviously, since I met Joey Porter and some of his Box cohorts. Did a little background research and discovered where the Box originated... Pop Warner's Single Wing from 1906. Ran it and variations of it (including spread concepts... empty sets, 2x2, Jet and Orbit, Option reads, Jump Pass, etc... until I got old enough to decide it's too dang hot in August to keep going this. A handful of coaches are still running the SW, and some have had rather marked success doing so (Loyd Star comes to mind... 25-5 running it so far) but some others, too. Good coaches maximize their team's potential based on personnel. Bad coaches run "their system" regardless of personnel . There are many of the former and a few of the soon to be looking for a job of the other.
  16. There is definitely more than one game remaining on their schedule that they can lose, and so far their wins haven't been very impressive
  17. 2nd season and they're certainly not remotely anywhere close to better than they have been since Boyles exited. Not conditioned in preseason, lost in the secondary, OL is rather confused. Just an absolute cluster. Almost as bad as Laurel.
