  2. If I can get technical, the defense has given up 72pts so far. 14pts have come off 2 scoop and scores when the Hattiesburg offense was on the field

  3. According to 24/7, Hattiesburg currently has 6 players alone in the 2025 class with Division 1 offers. They have the top player in the state in the 2026 class. That's not including the ones who have JUCO offers that will have the chance to play college football as well, plus sophomores that have not gotten on Division 1 team's radars yet. I personally think from what I have seen, this year's defense is better than '17 or '18. I will concede that those years were better offensively, though. Overall I just feel like this might be his most complete team. Hattiesburg is my pick to get out of the South this year. Much like West Jones last year, the defense gives them a big edge and can make up for whatever shortcomings the offense may have.

  4. First half was definitely rough on the offensive side of the ball and shooting was horrendous but they found a rhythm in the second half. I was happy to see us truly compete with a top 5 team on the court. We unfortunately had a signature WAOM moment as we should’ve closed this game out but we beat ourselves. But on a positive note outside of the Stanford upset in the NCAAs a few years back and despite the progress Coach Yo has made, we’ve rarely (basically never) been competitive with the elite teams under her tenure. Today was a much different look. We looked ready to compete. Hope this fearless attitude continues. The big questions will be can we consistently shoot the 3 well enough on offense to make teams come out and guard us. KK Deans showed today how much we missed her last season. And how will we match up with teams that have some height as we are a little shorter in the post than years past. As we saw today Southern Cal definitely took advantage of this and pounded us in the paint. I also like that Coach Yo made a tougher non conference schedule this year. Will likely play UCONN in the thanksgiving tournament assuming we take care of business in the first round and also a road game against a top 10 NC State team. its a long way to March but optimistic with what I saw today.
