No way would MAIS consider that, especially with the multiplier. - Today

I just don’t see this happening the MAIS or MHSAA will not lose money. So I can’t see the MAIS giving up their crazy playoff Powe point system with two champions in each class not to count their eight man teams. -
Interesting to see HHS offense this year. Petal better beat them in the first qtr cause after that it may over.

How cool was it that Trinidad & Kamario roomed together at the Manning camp. And have seemingly become good friends. The State-Ole Miss rivalry is always going bitter at times but IMHO something like this helps to soften it some. I am a State alum and life long fan but I am a Trinidad fan. He is fun to watch. Ideally both State and Ole Miss will win each’s fair share games before we play each other. And when the Egg Bowl gets here I most certainly want to win but without any malice. And I can safely say that both State and Ole Miss fans will be pulling for each other when we play LSU this year.

I hope not

Normally I feel the same way but this year is my oldest son’s senior season and I don’t want it to be over. I want it to begin but I don’t want it to begin all at the same time. It’s a weird feeling. If anything, I wish I could go back to when he was playing youth football and start all over again. Gonna be an emotional year for me

So is the MHSAA and MAIS about to merge to make 7 classes more reasonable ? -
Yes, Lafayette weakened and simply quit playing Oxford and the distinguished superintendent is quoted as saying he would resign if the team didn't win several games this season. Lafayette will still be extremely weak but the schedule is so weak that surely they can win 7 or 8 and the super can continue drawing his huge pay and live fat on the hog.

Cokie Crosby, played youth football at Hattiesburg, he played at north Forrest these past 2 years
-
That was by choice. HHS/Laurel would be forced to stop playing if for some dumb reason there was 12 teams per region.
-
What is his name? Never heard of cokie
-
Lafayette got rid of the Crosstown Classic with Oxford because they suck so bad. At least your rivalry would die with a little dignity and honor and not a Superintendents ego.
-
Will be watching Hattiesburg this year then, I been following that young man since he was 10 and he’s a dog
-
I know. Let’s get this show on the road.
-
Birth name please. I don't know nicknames. Lol

Did Hattiesburg get cokie back?

Mississippi doesn't even have enough high schools for 6 classes much less 7. And no matter how many you have, no more than half should make the playoffs. When 4 out of 6 division teams make the playoffs, it becomes like a trophy for everyone. Ridiculous!

I know a game over a bottle of cheap brown liquor is fitting for the two teams, cutting competition off at the knees for everyone else.is not worth it. -

I should have clarified I I was just tossing 5A out as a example. 5,6 and 7 A all three need to follow this format. Seed them after the season based on record and tee it up.
