5 students from Jones County injured in a 2 vehicle collision on hwy 588. The car rolled over, young man had to cut out of truck. Three 17 year old and a 11 year old all transported with injuries.
-
Magee returns more than what people think, plus they got a transfer at receiver
-
Warning ends at 4:30, looks like hail flattens out and heads toward Stringer along and north of 28.
-
Magee doesn't have the size or depth to win it. They are picked 4th in the region.
-
Big time hail falling between Raleigh and Taylorsville moving Southeast. Look for delays in Tartar town tonight.
- Today
-
They lost their whole receiving core. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised to see Magee win that district
-
Just had 50 yard td. West at Laurel next week. Corey Reynolds in the stands watching the game. NEJ and SJ got coaches in stands watching. West not putting on a show for them .
-
That’s what they always say
-
That was about as vanilla as it gets with WJ. LOL
-
I was hoping to see Tootie throw at least a couple of deep balls
-
West indeed is subbing A Lot. O line in particular. Lots of short passes and bunches of runs. Not showing anything just same 4-5 plays. Seem to be trying to plug a hole on o line. Defense started subbing after 2 series.
-
Only way that happens is if west coaches never have more than half the starters on the field at a time and none more than like 4 plays. Due to not wanting to allow their first 3 regular season opponents (Laurel, nej, sj, in that order) to see what they working with.
-
I’m gonna go with seminary over West. South over Magee. Sumrall over NEJ. And Heidelberg over Laurel
-
Laurel could easily finish 2nd in Region 3 5a. Sumrall could possibly finish 2nd. Due to Hattiesburg having a Thursday night game vs Forest Hill last yr I attended the Brookhaven/Sumrall game. Sumrall could have beaten Brookhaven if not for 3 picks in Brookhaven territory. Same player for Brookhaven had all 3 picks
-
My picks. Jones College Jamboree: West Jones over Seminary South Jones vs Magee I do not know who to pick. I don’t know enough about Magee but SJ lost majority of offensive production and I’m not confident they can overcome that. Sumrall over Northeast Jones. NEJ could be in for a very long year. 1 to 3 wins maybe. But 5A south is so weak they may get more. But I don’t see it. Heidelberg over Laurel. Laurel will have a few big linemen. Outside of that they are very thin and I honestly expect a bad year out of them. Fortunately for them they are in the mixed bag that is 5A south so perhaps they can somehow get a couple wins to make the season look more respectable.

Its now officially football season

Like old Movie Gallery Stadium. I still call it that LOL. -
Seminary has to be the most slept on team in 3A. They were the 2nd best 3A south team last season, and returned most of their talent. They should be better this year than last year.
-
Wishing everyone traveling for jamborees safe travels and an injury free night for your athletes.

I wonder how Puckett, Pelahatchie, and Pisgah fields fared last night in the wind. I know Puckett has already announced road games through September 15th for high school and Jr high.
