  1. Past hour
  2. I agree. After watching Enterprise and Clarkdale face Stringer back to back weeks, I actually thought Enterprise looked slightly better. I say they win one of those and clinch the four seed. I doubt they can beat Mize, but I don’t think it will necessarily be a blowout. 6-4 overall. 7-3 if they can beat both Bay Springs and Clarkdale.
  3. Today
  4. I think they may beat bay springs and clarkdale if they stay healthy. They could also lose to bay springs and clarkdale too
  5. Not at all. Actually played well. It was a one possession game and HHS had the ball, fumbled it for an OG scoop and score. That was a possible 14pt swing. Lose to Biloxi this week then there will be some concern.
  6. I think win or lose for either team doesn't necessarily spell disaster. I'd like to see Picayune improve from the Biloxi game and I'm sure Ocean Springs would like to build off the Pascagoula win. Both teams needed wins on Friday and got them. District play still hasn't started yet, so every goal that's in front of Picayune and Ocean Springs is still attainable. We could ask that same question about Hattiesburg. Is Hattiesburg in trouble because they lost to Oak Grove?
  7. Is the Picayune/Ocean Springs loser in trouble for the rest of the season and is the winner back on the right track
  8. probably have 5 L's coming up on the schedule as the season plays out
  9. Week 3 Recap from the Varsity Voices Podcast ON THIS EPISODE West Points fall again Warren Central and Germantown battle it out Kosciusko and Hernando in a Double OT thriller Can anyone in 3A north challenge Winona? Top performers and Mississippi Army National Guard Player of the Week
  10. They might be on 2024 State or 2011 Ole Miss’s level. They’re brutally bad.
  11. All true. I was just surprised by the result Wish them well
  12. Clarkdale is 3-0, you will have to play your best to beat Bay Springs and Mize. I don't see 3-1 unless you outplay your opponent weekly. Union is obviously down this year.
  13. Well when you've been punched in the mouth for two straight weeks against Gulfport and JA, just getting up off the mat and finding a way to win is huge. I'm sure Picayune would have wanted to win by a larger margin, but there was a lightning delay and you are on the road. Anytime there's those types of delays, it generally favors the home team. Picayune needed a win and the got it. They know they still have a lot to work on.
  14. Wedgeworth can sling it and Hancock can score. They just need to clean up the penalties and find some defense somewhere. I can see the 42-35 score favoring St. Martin, but I don't think either team will be able to stop each other offensively. The scoring might even be higher, like a 56-49 type ballgame.
  15. Richton just gave Salem their first win since 2020 so they have to be awful.
  16. I think it will be 42-35 SM. The other Coast game he's way off on is Richton v St Patrick. Richton lost ALL their talent last year. St Patrick will win 28-7. I think OS will lose to Picayune 28-21
  17. 14 of 15 straight up , Sorry I didn't see Harr Central v Tylertown was next week. Wow Gpt shocked me with that score as did Picayune. Picayune must be way down this year
  18. I knew Enterprise would be better because of all the starters and experience we had coming back I think we could clinch the # 2 seed I think Heidelberg is the only team in our district we cant beat the thing is we are still not as good as we can be I've been watching the teams in our district Clarkdale doesnt appear yo be quite as good as last year I think we can definitely beat Bay Springs and Mize at home; I think our ceiling is 8-2 and 3-1 in district.
  19. How bad is Arkansas. I watched a couple quarters of that and they looked terrible.
  20. Hard to get a read on South Carolina. They might have played the weakest schedule in the country through two weeks. But weren’t very good a year ago. But have dominated said weak competition this year. Big ole shoulder shrug for me.
  21. Interesting that State-SCAR has moved up the totem pole of importance. Both teams will be looking to use this game as a springboard to success in the Conference.
  22. Jimmerson and the boys have gotten off to a 3-0 start after going 2-8 and missing the playoffs last season. I have personally been shocked to see no one has brought up the success they have had after many doubted their ability to win more than 2-3 games this season (myself included). How do we think the Bulldogs finish out the year? I know their district is tough, but will they be able to be competitive and make an appearance as a 3-4 seed in the playoffs?
  23. Has that changed any since the season started? I don’t remember what it started at. FPI at the moment gives OM a 65% chance to win the Egg Bowl, but I think before the season that was like 85 or 90%.
  24. Yesterday
  25. Let’s see how much this line changes the next 2.5 months
  26. OG is slowly but surely getting closer to the level I expected them to be out the gate. That’s a really good Hattiesburg team they beat Friday night
  27. Kamario is not going anywhere. But people will talk. He is a State kid and I feel certain he is being well taken care of. If anything, State will be a desirable landing spot for players wanting to play with him.
  28. The talking point of “I hope State doesn’t lose Kamario in the portal” is already tiresome. It’s Week 2. What is the point of this? Enjoy what may be a really fun season while it’s going on, worry about next year next year. And for what it’s worth, Kamario will probably be in Starkville next year anyway.
