I am not sure. I saw some highlights on one of their players and it kind of looked like JJ McClain?

State at Minnesota in a massive game for State. I’ve seen the spread in both teams’ favor within a point or two, so it’s basically a pick em. Major contrast of styles here. State wants to open it up and let their athletes run wild on offense. Minnesota wants to play sound defense, hold onto the ball, and force State to make mistakes. Minnesota’s strength appears to be at the LOS, so we will find out just how much improvement State made on both sides of the line. Big moment for Kamario too, first true road start and it’s against a team that’s been good at home. I feel like there’s such a fine line with this game for State. Win and there’s a lot of optimism moving forward. Lose and I think a lot of people will be ready to assume Lebby won’t make it to next season. I think this is a tight game but I like State’s chances here. I think they can turn it into enough of a track meet that Minnesota can’t quite keep up in. have State taking this one 31-24. Ohio State at Texas - massive game Saturday night in Austin. Big moment for Arch Manning. But I have a little bit more confidence in the Buckeyes here. Ohio State takes it. Oklahoma at Michigan - I have OU rolling in this one. Arizona State at Texas A&M - maybe a crazy pick here, but I have the Sun Devils stealing one on the road here. Call me an A&M skeptic I guess. Bama at Kentucky - dangerous game here for Bama, Lexington has turned into a weird place to play in the last decade. I’ll pick Bama but I think it’s close. There are other interesting games too that we can discuss as well…. Ole Miss vs Charlotte isn’t one of them. The calm before the storm on September 19.

I don’t care if they have been in there since moses wore short pants they have to follow the same rules. Hauling Anthony Dixon from Terry up to Madison Academy every day then over to Newton on Friday night to run through a bunch of tenth graders isn’t a just thing for the public school students. Nip it in the bud now before it ruins all of it

I'll take Mize

I'm not seeing the hernando hype. I didn't think they are as good as southaven or horn lake and will be about even with lafayette and center hill. I won't be stunned if kosy beats them 3-4 TD's.

Week 3 Games that we will learn the most from....

Do they still play at SV Marshall? I think they were still playing there last time I checked. -
Always one of the most talented teams that cant seem to get over the hump talent isnt the problem.
-
I think it comes down to how good Hattiesburg really is right now offensively. I think defensively, they should be able to keep them in the game with how good their front is. Oak Grove has probably played a little bit tougher of a schedule through 2 games. I think Oak Grove wins in a good, hard fought battle that could go either way depending on how Hattiesburg does offensively.

Its a little late to get much insight on it, but how does this one play out? Both games for both teams have come down to a final possession. Would not be shocked to see that happen again Friday night.

I would say it does. Biloxi I believe kicked 5 field goals vs. Holmes or somewhere around that number. I was told Biloxi is battling some early injuries to key players, but even with that, they looked really awful especially on offense vs. Pascagoula. -
Would a coach send his kids out there playing with one foot dressed in only a sock and the other wearing a cleat ? Same thing. One has the advantage of recruiting from anywhere while the other is scrutinized. It's not fair to the players. Funny you could't get a game with private schools now that they have a talent advantage they want to quickly ok the game. Stop it's not a competition . It's a mutilation. " Oh it makes you better " . No the hell it don't. Would sending ninth and tenth graders out there against junior college players make them better ?

Mize will need to avoid turnovers to have a chance at winning. Last year in this game we had 4 turnovers and ended up losing by 5 points.

From what I saw of Biloxi vs. Pascagoula, they are way, way down. Picayune should win relatively easy in my opinion. -

Picayune @ Biloxi - Does Picayune win this week and not get clocked? -
Columbia vs Petal - Is Columbia the front runner in 4a South? I believe this game will be a good gauge of where Columbia stacks up. It is said that teams typically improve the most between weeks 2 & 3 so we will see. Hernando @ Kosciusko - Hernando definitely isn't John Curtis but they are a formidable 7A opponent. Will Kosciusko continue to roll or will Hernando put a stop their offense? John Curtis @ Louisville - I think we should all be Wildcat fans this week. I hope Louisville sends John Curtis home crying. Represent the entire state of Mississippi well this week Louisville! This is easily the game to see this Friday! Noxubee @ West Point - This game is ALWAYS highly competitive. Will West Point be 0-3 or will they right the ship? Seminary vs D'Iberville - What better way for Seminary to prove that they are a legitimate contender than to beat the team that beat Raleigh? D'Iberville why are you playing so many top 3A teams? Warren Central @ Germantown - This game is second to the Louisville vs JC matchup in my opinion. This will be a great game to see. Warren Central looks poised to run away with 6A and repeat as State Champions. They can prove it this week. Germantown was a fumble away from knocking off Oak Grove.

Typo * 1-1
-
they beat taylorsville and lost to presbyterian christian
-
If Mize lost, how are they 1-0? Shouldn't they at least be 1-1 if they won their first game week one?
-
Both teams coming off a loss to both good teams. Magee lost to Mendenhall 35-15 after being up at the 1st half. Mize lost to PCS, a good football team, 21-17. Mize was without their best player, but was able to hold PCS QB, Wake Forest commit til 1TD 2nd half. They had the opportunity to score before fumbling and recover by PCS with time running out. This should be a good team, neither team doesn't want 2 lost in a row. This Friday will see what team come after a diaapp loss.... *It's Magee homecoming** Mize 34 Magee 27
