thats why i referred to houston, amory and mooreville as the little sisters of the poor. shannon stands a good chance of still making the 3rd round whether they finish 1st or 2nd. best shot to make north final might be to get 2nd, assuming louisville does beat kosy in regular season.
-
I’m going to go with Grenada because during the summer it seemed like for a 2 week stretch they had a kid transferring to another school every day yet they’ve done surprisingly well so far.
-
My thoughts exactly and what I was referring to when I said they give up 33 to teams with a pulse. Next week I’m sure they’ll look better against Houston giving him false hope.

Bama @ State. On paper this game should be won by Bama. They are a better team across the board. State being at home is a plus, the fact that it has been three years since State played Bama means virtually every player is playing them with a clean slate. What happened previously has no bearing on this game. I think State is the hungrier team. All that to say, Bama probably wins 34-31 but I won’t be surprised if State comes out the victor. Florida-Missouri. I was impressed with Missouri’s physicality last Saturday. That was a very tough game against State. I actually like Missouri here. Florida is going to be flat after two emotional wins against Auburn & Ole Miss. Plus they have been hearing how good they are now. Missouri wins 27-21 in a lower scoring game than expected. Auburn @ Tennessee. I don’t think Auburn is really that good this year. They are improved and conventional wisdom says Texas is going to beat Tennessee twice. In this case, I don’t think so. Tennessee wins an ugly game 20-12. KY@SC. South Carolina rises from the 8 count for an improbable victory over KY. SC 28-KY 24. Vandy@Georgia. Georgia rolls over Vandy 30-14. USM @ Troy. USM seems to be trending better but Troy is usually tough at home. USM gives a valiant effort but comes up short. Troy 21-USM 19. Michigan@Minnesota. Interesting game and hopefully the Gophers win. Every game that they win benefits State. Minnesota wins against the cheating Wolverines 24-20.

Maybe most disappointing should be a title.
- Today
-
Yes I believe so. They should beat Harr Central
-
Shannon’s defense is not all that like you make it seem! Looking at their schedule, they’ve played 2 quality opponents in Louisville and Noxubee County and gave up 36 and 28! Then they gave up 35 to Pontotoc last night! No disrespect but thats not great defense!Of course they’re gonna look great when they’re playing the Okolona and Saltillo of the world
-
Yes they are. Is their only chance for another win going to be Harrison Central?
-
State Fla Tenn Kentucky A&M Ga USM I hope

I agree that the future could be promising assuming Tville continues to stay in 1A. They will never get back to where they were, but I believe that they can get back to contending as a heavyweight in 1A in the next few years. This is Stringer’s year to make a run similar to Tville’s last year. They have 12-13 seniors who have learned how to taste glimpses of success the past few years. If Stringer is going to finally get over the hump under Brady and make a title run, this is the year. Last night was a good starting point whether Taylorsville is down or not.

Since we're talking surprises let's go bad surprises. Biloxi is once again awful

Maybe i will call into your podcast and give you that . I have to go by and the district office first -
It was already gonna be a long year for Tville even if they stayed healthy. They definitely didn’t need to lose their best players

The one good thing that’s coming out of our little exchange. After some introspection I don’t think the name of it depicts it well . I didn’t like it when i put it together but it’s all i could come up with. i am going to name it after talking in a barber shop. That’s more what it is and what the name should convey -

Bring every item of rain gear you have this evening. Don’t get your head wet by rain it will make you sick this time of year -
naw they avg 19.8 a game on defense, they will fix everything on defense next week
-
Are they though? They give up 33 a game to teams with a pulse. I’m sure they’ll look decent next week against Houston.
-
Yea it is,gonna be a rough year if they don't get their starters back healthy and playing, i guess the only good thing was that came out of it was stringer won after 37 years! ( last win was 1989) Congratulations to stringer! They deserved that win!

I keep up with the weekly fines and suspensions and am awaiting to see what is ruled here. Shannon has 3 games left basically vs the little sisters of the poor in amoty, houston and mooreville. the game of consequence will be with IAHS at home in shannon for the region.
-
Definitely Shannon's fault . Coaches should never allow that behavior of taunting that Shannon allowed across the field to opponent sideline. You're either coaching it, or allowing it to happen,,,Mike Leach

SCHOOL. 2024. 2025 Mendenhall. 391. 332 Richland. 390. 332 Louisville. 371. 324 Ripley. 370. 324 S Pontotoc. 367. 356 Moss Point. 361. 343 Forest. 341. 343 Mooreville. 335. 403 Byhalia. 333 310 Amory. 332. 331 S Pike. 321. 342 4A/3A split St Patrick. 316. *226 (339) St Stanislaus. 316. *170. (340) OLA. 212. *212 (424) PCS. *256. *224 (336) Booneville. 276. 319 St Andrew's. 226. *256 (374) The above info is based on the schools currently in 4A/3A that have been mentioned moving up or down. We all know that if 7A/6A/5A ends up with 24 each 1 school will drop down out of each class. That will be a factor at the top of 4A and bottom of 4A. *US News and World Report numbers where else do we get them except from the school. (234) is the multiplier number I gave them. I am looking at ST Patrick, St Stanislaus, St Andrew's and OLA moving up. That leaves PCS on the bubble with 2025 number. That leaves appx 5 schools that will drop down. I am projecting solely based on 2025 numbers that Louisville, Ripley, Rosa Fort, Byhalia, and Amory are dropping down. Where are the kids going is the question. I suspect drop outs, transfers to another school or MAIS, or homeschooling.
