They could be good but with such a weak, no name schedule there is no way to know how good they are. i think they will face Calhoun city in round 3 more than likely. But I have Leflore county picked to represent the north 1A in starkville.

I figure Oxford takes an L from both Gtown and Starkville

Huge day of games on Saturday. Lot of questions to be answered State at LSU - how do you accurately evaluate this game with no knowledge on if Kamario is playing or not? What I would tell you is that if State were healthy I think they’d have a very good chance in this game. 11 am in Tiger Stadium is NOT what the locals want at all. I also, frankly, think LSU is merely good this year. They’re not going to be a Playoff team. This is a highly beatable LSU. At the same time….. Man State is really beat up. Kamario is not the only question here. If you told me State sits a lot of guys to try and have them healthier for the next few weeks, I wouldn’t be shocked. If Kamario and Fluff play, State can absolutely win and it should at least be close. If they’re both out, LSU may win by 30. I’m going to meet in the middle and say LSU by 13. LSU 27, State 14 Mizzou at Ole Miss - this game should be awesome. Fascinating matchup, and the Austin Simmons and Cayden Lee dynamic adds intrigue too. To be honest with you, I think Mizzou is the better all around team. But I don’t think Chambliss has ever lost a home game. I think this one goes down to the wire and is somewhat of a shootout. They can just as much as both if those two can beat Laurel. This Laurel team now isn’t the same as the one that played out of its mind against us or you guys. They believed that regardless of Brookhaven outcome they just needed to make playoffs and they were sure to get to south state and try to beat Brookhaven. Then they got annihilated and now they know they have no shot of getting to state regardless and word is a bunch of kids don’t see a point. Coaches have thus lost the locker room.

I realize they are capable- however, based on this year's results I don't think they will. But just my outsider opinion

South 5A, and all of 5A, belongs to Brookhaven right now. Wayne County is likely the number 2 in 5A south.

Laurel can beat South Jones and Sumrall.

Region 4 winner will be Picayune. After that its a crapshoot

OG is really good when they’re locked in and capable of beating most teams. But they’re not dominant like I thought they’d be. It’s possible.

South 6A is for sure “down” bathe prior 3 years. Not a one is “complete”. Hattiesburg’s offense seems to struggle, not unexpected with a new line, and the defense seems to be good but not as good as their prior 2. West Jones has an elite offense that has gone to sleep for an entire half in 2 games where they didn’t need to. But their defense is absolutely sad. They havnt given up this many points per game since the turn of the century. I don’t know enough about region 4 teams to comment. No one beating Warren Central in 6A regardless.

There’s a really really good chance Natchez actually knocks off Laurel. As well as South jones and sumrall.

Terry had the real good rb from ridgeland last year transfer to them. He could work out the west defense which still is a massive issue. West offense should not have any problems moving the ball however.

It’s supposed to only be if 35 point lead at halftime. But coaches can talk about it either way officials pre-game and decide to go it earlier if one team gets a 35 point lead. I think that is what happened with Laurel and Brookhaven. Thst game is on YouTube. Brookhaven took opening kick to the house. Laurel then fumbled vall away their first offensive snap on their own 15. Then their 2nd possession it took 2 snaps to fumble. After 3 and out on their third Brookhaven scored in 1 play. Brookhaven was up 28-0 with less than 5 minutes off the clock and ran 5 offensive plays.

I forgot about Germantown in that division they got Oxford Friday that a toss up game and that game at Germantown and Germantown might win at home and go up 2-0 in 1st place, somebody going to miss the playoffs

They aren’t better than Heidelberg, but they could at least definitely frustrate Heidelberg. They will meet up in the 3rd round

East Marion wasn’t getting preseason respect. They are now. I was big on them from the very beginning. They are now on a collision course with Heidelberg in the 3rd round.
