  2. Kosciusko at Corinth will be a big game, a dogfight
  3. Today
  4. depend on who wanna go to starkville and get mashed by warren central the most
  5. West Point is the 4 seed and will play at Leake in round 1
  6. Hburg is starting to play like we thought they would in the beginning of the season. The oline has slowly been getting better, our starting rb is finally healthy and the defense has stepped up big time. Hhs is just a bad match up for WJ. I can see a rematch from last season with hhs vs picayune in south state.
  7. First off it’s really good to see Meridian back in the fold. You guys that are on this board especially. Y’all toughed it out and were proven correct that the support and kids were still there . All that was someone that could jump in with both feet from day one and make everyone see it could be done again. Big game Thursday. Petal. This part is gonna piss some people off, but I don’t care. You’re gonna have to swallow it. You wanna win something besides pre-District titles? For starters quit being jealous of what other people has when it comes to football. I don’t know if part of your jealousy is to try to go in and take coaches from other schools because of your jealousy or you don’t have what it takes deep down in your guts to pull yourself out. Before you grunt out, ” he just mad because Marcus left and came here” I’m going to respond with you damn right I am. Boyles never thought about leaving until he started communicating with Petal over a home and home game. Lo and behold a few months later he’s dressing in that ugly red. I know who did it. I know who was behind it. He moved to Petal from Waynesboro. I want to call out this horse faced choad so bad man ,lol .Some of his family are my friends I wouldn’t want them hurt . Hell I know him and he knows how I feel . Not second hand either. I better stop with this part for now and revisit later when I can convey my feelings in a more civilized manner. Moving about the WC people again has stirred a lot of memories up/ Chief being most have no clue on the events of that fall and are blaming the wrong people, More on this later. Pound Lampley is nitro grade fuel. Very few things run on Nitro. Hancock will win a playoff game this year. Diberville will not Don’t look now West Point has a good chance to make it in the playoffs. What happens after that people can make up their own minds. Madison Central keeps stumbling around like Rocky Balboa. Question is, Is it Clubber Lang 1 or 2 Rocky ? There is something about college football that is off putting to me that grows more every year. Point being I wish the MHSAA would entertain the idea of some playoff games on Saturdays during the daylight. Safer environment and more convenient for the elderly and shut in to go see the games. I get the feeling the coach at Pass doesn’t give a rat’s pill hole where this one or that one thinks he should be, He’s doing it his way . That’s freedom brother. To the playoffs. Have a safe week
  8. Which one of these teams going to the playoffs will catch fire because right now it just looks like a few piles of brush smoking.

But.... if Terry beats Hattiesburg by 9 WJ is no.1 Terry no.2 and Hattiesburg would be the no.3. The GC/Picayune matchup is the only one set in stone
  11. That sounds really settled doesn't it? LOL.

    Class 6a south 2026

Yep. GC/Picayune and PRC/Hattiesburg would be rematches from last yr. Then other two matchups are Gautier/West Jones Terry/Hancock
  13. That's a good way of looking at it. If the chalk holds on this, it would send Gautier to West Jones and PRC back to Hattiesburg again. Would we get George County again too?

Tiebreakers. Would have to see who beat who and how bad. Remember you only get 12pts on a tiebreaker. So on a tiebreaker, a 20pt on field victory would only be a 12pt victory in solving a tiebreaker. I see Gautier beating Goula. Hancock will beat Long Beach unless Hancock wants to rest a few guys and not risk injury. Picayune could do the same as them and Hancock are already locked in at no.1 and no. 2 seeds. But I see Goula and Long Beach out. And since Gautier beat PRC they would be the 3 and PRC the 4.
  15. I still think Hancock would have the 2 seed if they lost to Long Beach, so really it's about determining the 3 & 4 seeds and who gets left out.
  16. It looks like Pacagoula and Gautier are playing an elimination game this Thursday. What would happen if Long Beach beats Hancock and Picayune beats PRC? That would leave PRC at 2-3, Long Beach at 2-3, and the winner of Goula/Gautier at 2-3. Who else would get left out besides the loser of Goula/Gautier? This thing is really unsettled isn't it?
  17. clarksdale @ Shannon be a big game in a week
  18. October 9, 2026 open dates * 7A) 7 schools: Madison Central, Brandon, NW Rankin were close by *6A) 2 schools: both up North *5A) Vicksburg * open date fixed into schedule 4A) 3 schools including Forest, Itawamba, and Poplarville 3A) 4 schools including Raleigh and Hazlehurst 2A) 3 schools including Scott Central and Sacred Heart which pulled out after schedules were published with away game at Columbia Academy 1A) 6 schools with Mt Olive, Ethel, and Calhoun City the closest. 7 MAIS schools including Columbia, MRA, St Alyouisa, Adams Christian, and Centerville. Not sure Hig would be interested in another MAIS school.
  19. That makes sense. Hmmmm.......so 5 team regions seems to have resulted in scheduling challenges for coaches. Another great reason to go back to 6 classes and boost the number of teams in a region back to 6. Sounds like the excitement was really increased by this move.
  20. Going into the game Saturday I think State had 8 starters out on both sides. Swan was having a pretty good game and the offense was consistently better before his injury. Every team goes through injuries, but losing a QB the likes of KT is hard to overcome. No one has a back up of that quality ready to play, especially in the portal ear. Even Ohio State QB play dropped off and they lost. This was a good football team prior to KT's injury. Look at the dominating wins over Minn, SC, and Mizzu. With KT State is probably 5-3 at worst. Lebby needs to make a change at OL coach. Loderhoult's recruiting hasn't been good enough to overcome his deficiency as oline coach. There has been improvement overall since Lebby got here. The defensive talent when he got here was terrible with a few exceptions, they are improving under Arnett. As bad as the Oline has been when they play just decent, we have seen over the last two years what this offense can do. We MUST go get some dudes up front on both sides of the ball for next year. Then if it isn't better, make a change. I really don't think KT stays without Lebby, with Lebby I would put it at 95% he stays.
  21. Yep. Both turned Raleigh down. As did Ittawamba AHS
  22. There isn't an easy way to get to Natchez either, especially from Picayune. I remember when we were in the region with Natchez. It was charter buses every week LOL.
  23. Vott

    7A make up

Just think what Natchez goes thru every year midweek when they have to travel to Sumrall Laurel and South Jones. BRUTAL
  24. Great post. This honestly makes the most sense by far.
  25. I know football coaches who are now dropping competition because they know the opponent will be a very good team the next few years. just weak and running from good comp
