  1. Past hour
  2. Five or six turnovers. Touchdowns call back for penalties. It’s like our focus and mindset stayed behind never even got on the bus. Didn’t even know how to go to the ground without dropping the ball on the way down. I’m rough on other people so I have to be rough here too. Our first two games our offense was the quarterback and #22. I had seen it, but I had to let it come to pass before I could speak out. Now I’m not faulting anyone because that’s the way. I would’ve played it too. Didn’t have a whole lot of time to install anything so you pick out a couple of things and you do those good. They look tired, frankly, especially our quarterback. on the positive I think he’s found a receiver that can catch. Granted, the first time he caught it he broke into the open field he committed a turnover changing hands with it. But he didn’t drop any of the rest of the game. Bad thing is they want him on defense too. While I am speaking about defense, you got to have more confidence in them kids between the 20s. I get what you’re doing till you got your feet on the ground. You were playing it safe and then picking it up when I get into red zone. Later in the game started dialing up the pressure. That worked until the offense got close enough and they started throwing to that receiver again. What I’m trying to say is take some of the training wheels off surprise some of these people between the 20s. I wouldn’t be respectful either if I ended this little summation if I didn’t mention that receiver for NWR. He killed us on third down. He can go up and get it. And I mean like go up and get it cause their quarterback was all over the place way high and this dude was fearless. There wasn’t any soft landings either he was getting thrown to the ground. I can’t believe one of those academies up, there has not scooped him up yet. Defense and a couple of missing playmakers That’s our deficiencies right now.
  3. Today
  4. then I assume a North 7A team would have to drop
  5. What if a north 6A team moves to 7A?
  6. I am not at home to look at my 2025 numbers after the 1.5 multis in place. But I believe it may be: 4A/3A cutoff 324 with Louisville dropping down 3A/2A cutoff is 214 with Clarkdale staying 2A forcing Noxubee, Louisville, or Yazoo County to come south, only 1 of those 3 come south. 2A/1A cutoff i believe is around 145. I will confirm when I get home but based only on what MDE showed in 2025 numbers 4A-1A.
  7. Remember the 5, 6, 7, team regions are in play for 5A/6A/7A.
  8. Wasn’t the cutoff last time like 145 or somewhere like that? I don’t really remember
  9. If they are 140 they will be 1A
  10. Probably if that’s their number. That could be the lower end of 2A though
  11. Doubtful, their new rule for allowing the 7/5 split will keep 7 on the coast I'm sure.
  12. That very well could happen if 7A gets back to 24 teams.
  13. I'd love to see another go with them, because having 7 in the Region is an absolute nightmare for scheduling.
  14. I really don't think that would be bad. I know George County will appreciate it. If I had to take a guess, I would think Hancock would be in Region 3-7A to replace Meridian and the reason why I say that is because Hancock was in Region 3 with us back when we were in the 7A equivalent of today back in '03 and '04.
  15. Myrtle claims to have 140 and says they will drop down to 1A
  16. That is what I would think as well. I think the movement would be Hancock to 7a A region 4 team moves to Region 3 to replace Meridian and George Co goes to Region 4 6a to replace Hancock.
  17. The improvement in tackling has been huge to this point. It was and has been an obvious point of emphasis and we have had very few broken tackles in the first two games. That alone helps the defense immensely. We are going to give up some yards and points but when you eliminate the YAC, you can get off the field faster. That will be another key this Saturday in COSC. Seller’s is slippery so he will present a great challenge.
  18. So if Meridian drops to 6A, then I would assume George County would move to Region 4 in 6A.
  19. We will be stuck with 7 again in Region 4 and likely either HC, West harrison, or Hancock be sent to Region 3
  20. Nobody would go down to 6a. One of the coast schools who is in Region 4 7a would get bumped up to Region 3 7a if Meridian was to drop. If Hancock goes 7a that is 8 coast schools in 7a. One goes up to possibly replace Meridian you still have 7 schools in Region 4
  21. I ask this just as an observation of watching a few games that I have watched this season. Who has the best defense in the state? I know people off the top of their head. They’re gonna say Gulfport and yes, that defeats is nasty. Outside of them who.
  22. What’s the cutoff looking like for 1A-2A-3A
  23. That is the thing, I am hearing none of them are expected to be down low enough to drop. West Harrison and St. Martin are the only two remotely close but I am hearing they both think they are squarely staying 7A.
  24. Who on the coast would get kicked back down to 6A?
  25. If that is the case someone on the coast could go to region 3 if Meridian happens to drop to 6a
