Predicted Prep Football scores for 09/18/2026

I think it will be 42-35 SM. The other Coast game he's way off on is Richton v St Patrick. Richton lost ALL their talent last year. St Patrick will win 28-7. I think OS will lose to Picayune 28-21 - Today
-
14 of 15 straight up , Sorry I didn't see Harr Central v Tylertown was next week. Wow Gpt shocked me with that score as did Picayune. Picayune must be way down this year
-
I knew Enterprise would be better because of all the starters and experience we had coming back I think we could clinch the # 2 seed I think Heidelberg is the only team in our district we cant beat the thing is we are still not as good as we can be I've been watching the teams in our district Clarkdale doesnt appear yo be quite as good as last year I think we can definitely beat Bay Springs and Mize at home; I think our ceiling is 8-2 and 3-1 in district.
-
How bad is Arkansas. I watched a couple quarters of that and they looked terrible.
-
Hard to get a read on South Carolina. They might have played the weakest schedule in the country through two weeks. But weren’t very good a year ago. But have dominated said weak competition this year. Big ole shoulder shrug for me.
-
Interesting that State-SCAR has moved up the totem pole of importance. Both teams will be looking to use this game as a springboard to success in the Conference.
-
Jimmerson and the boys have gotten off to a 3-0 start after going 2-8 and missing the playoffs last season. I have personally been shocked to see no one has brought up the success they have had after many doubted their ability to win more than 2-3 games this season (myself included). How do we think the Bulldogs finish out the year? I know their district is tough, but will they be able to be competitive and make an appearance as a 3-4 seed in the playoffs?
-
Has that changed any since the season started? I don’t remember what it started at. FPI at the moment gives OM a 65% chance to win the Egg Bowl, but I think before the season that was like 85 or 90%.

Let’s see how much this line changes the next 2.5 months
-
OG is slowly but surely getting closer to the level I expected them to be out the gate. That’s a really good Hattiesburg team they beat Friday night
-
Kamario is not going anywhere. But people will talk. He is a State kid and I feel certain he is being well taken care of. If anything, State will be a desirable landing spot for players wanting to play with him.
-
The talking point of “I hope State doesn’t lose Kamario in the portal” is already tiresome. It’s Week 2. What is the point of this? Enjoy what may be a really fun season while it’s going on, worry about next year next year. And for what it’s worth, Kamario will probably be in Starkville next year anyway.
-
Overall, we appear to be a well coached team with some talent. If we stay healthy, I think we can be competitive in every game even though a few those games will obviously be losses. Confidence is also a part of the equation. It will be interesting to see how we respond if we have a bad start and get down early. With our offense, I think we will have the ability to come back if that happens. And it will. But until happens it will be a wait and see situation.
-
Hard to look at State’s performance so far and not feel like some games later in the season are more winnable than they first appeared. Specifically thinking about that Oklahoma game in Starkville in late October. I am not sure I would want to play this State team if your offense isn’t very good. Ask Minnesota.

1. Clemson saw a lot of new things from Kiffin & Weis and were severely unprepared 2. Clemsons not a very good football team 3. Leavitt has always had a problem with trying to be a superhero and turning it over The Clemson game made LSU look like a force to be reckoned with. No doubt they’re talented with a top 5 roster. They’re still human though. Right now LSU is probably a td better than Ole Miss, but Leavitt can most definitely lose them that game Saturday

Predicted Prep Football scores for 09/18/2026

Dude has St. Martin beating Hancock by 21. If anything that prediction should be opposite. St. Martin doesn’t have anywhere near the talent level of Poplarville, so to put them beating Hancock by 21 is kind of absurd. I honestly could see it being more like a track meet. I realize St. Martin is 3-0, and Hancock is 1-2, but if Hancock can work on shoring up their defense some they honestly could be 2-1 to this point. -
Good win for State. The OL looked good, defense was good against the run, RB looked good and Taylor looked really good throwing the ball. The only concern was the pass rush. After the half Minn started throwing more and State got no pressure on the QB. Could have been the defensive play calling with the big lead. Big game next week at SC. I was watching Texas/Ohio State, so I didn’t catch much of the OM game. They did what they were supposed to do though and won easily. They probably settled for to many FGs if you wanted to be picky, but who cares if they’re 2-0 and have their biggest game of the century coming up. The halftime LSU box score was wild. LSU up 10-7. Total offense was 280 yards vs 0 yards. 3 first half INTs for LSU. If LSU plays like that next weekend they’ll get embarrassed.

Possibly a 3L in law school? “Student athlete “ The NCAA has been so inconsistent on eligibility.
-
First man to be fully vested in PERS and still playing college football.
-
Max Johnson is the Qb for Georgia Southern? This is his 7th year taking snaps in college.
-
Crazy day across the sport. The Big 10 started the day so well with Michigan beating Oklahoma and then it fell apart for them QUICK. All eyes on Oxford next weekend, of course they are, but I think State going to South Carolina has a chance to be a crazy game as well. Battle of the Briles family with another Jeff Lebby vs Kendal Briles rematch. And all the previous that I know about were absolute track meets, namely the 2021 Ole Miss-Arkansas game. Both teams have very athletic QB’s and WR’s so that one may be a good ole fashioned 2000’s Big 12 shootout.
-
Those that only look at final scores will think Ole Miss and LSU both won easily. Neither looked like top 10 teams today. I assumed the Ohio State vs Texas game was over while watching Ole Miss with LSU in the background… turned back just in time to see Texas take the lead.

Rain in Myrtle game could have finished but didn't
-
Olive Branch beat Horn Lake last night 17-12
