  4. what you think about Shannon know they didn't show up at Louisville and got shutout and Shannon not getting no respect this year now and getting overlooked, under the radar in 4A North and it not pressure on them this year it pressure on Itawamba, Corinth, they are getting all the attention to the media in them polls, talks.
  5. I agree Aberdeen #3 in the north behind them 2 teams, Aberdeen are in them media polls this season in 3A
  6. Today
  7. I have a ton of respect for what Coach Williams has been able to do there. They are making strides for sure. I would probably put them at #3 in the north behind those 2 right now. For Winona to dismantle Calhoun City 59-6 the way they did and shutdown 7A Southaven is stout. I know Aberdeen beat Calhoun City but Winona hot clocked them.
  8. The week everyone has been waiting for, the most hyped game of the season…. UConn travels to Hattiesburg to play USM! Eagles win a close one at home. ok, now time for the real biggest game: State at South Carolina - SC a 4 point favorite as I’m typing this. I think this a chance to be a crazy game with a lot of offense. Another test for State’s OL this week, and by far the biggest test so far for State’s defense. Columbia is a very tough place to play, and before the season I had State losing this game… but I’m rolling with the Dogs in this one. I think Kamario Taylor is a better QB than Lanoris Sellers. I am not a huge believer in Shane Beamer, and I’m a big fan of the coaching changes State made in the offseason. I think Kamario shines again and the Dogs get it done in the 4th. State wins this one 33-30. Ok, I guess we’ll talk about Ole Miss-LSU…. Tigah’s a 3 point favorite as of today. My opinion on this game is still the same as it was all offseason. I worry that this is a State-Florida 2018 situation for Ole Miss. Perhaps the emotions are TOO high that it’s not a good thing for the home team. I also think LSU happens to be the better team. I won’t be shocked if Chambliss gets it done at home, as OM has been very good in Oxford in recent years. But I have Kiffin breaking Rebel hearts walking out with a 27-20 win. Florida at Auburn - I like both of these new coaches and think UF may be better right now, but give me AU in a night game at Jordan Hsre. Florida State at Bama - can the Noles do it two years in a row? Probably not. Kentucky at Texas A&M - look ahead spot for the Aggies with a trip to Baton Rouge next week? I think it’s close for 3 quarters and A&M pulls away late. Georgia at Arkansas - if you know any Arkansas fans, be nice to them this year, they’re going to need it. This game may be a slaughter. I think the Hogs are headed for a 1-11 or 2-10 season.
  9. yea you right about Aberdeen, they gotta show us they can beat Noxubee, Winona this year to be a serious contender
  10. Who do you have at the bottom of 7A? The Jackson schools make my head spin trying to figure out what MS feeds what HS
  11. Could you PM your projections for 5-7A??
  12. Every school MDE had listed, even looking at middle schools that send kids that are currently 9th graders then 8th graders that feed specific high schools like in Jackson. Remember these are 2025 posted numbers subject to change. Private schools are posted on World news and report.
  13. Your correct they were posted on MDE in December 2025. As to the exact date and formula I do not know. Formula being was it a number posted on a specific date, rolling monthly average on or around October 1 each year.
  14. It's tough to judge the borderline schools because just a few students who opt out or in of a school can change them. I believe the numbers MDE puts on their site reflect the October figures from last year and aren't updated during that year. I could be wrong and if so, educate me please. Just remember putting two schools who are maybe five students apart and close to one another geographically in different classes and divisions is done to increase excitement, just like making 7 classes. There is so much more excitement now than before it's impossible to contain (sarcasm). Wonder if the 1.5 multiplier will increase that excitement even more?
  15. Did you take numbers on every school??
  16. It’s very hard to find elite, suffocating defenses like you’re seeing with Gulfport this year or like West Jones from a few years ago. Don’t get me wrong, there are definitely teams with good defenses, but it’s kind of a generational thing especially with high school football. When you have an old starting 11 on defense that’s had a lot of playing time under their belt, that seems to be the recipe to have an elite defense. But you also need D1 talent mixed in there as well.
  17. Aberdeen isn’t in the same neighborhood as Winona or Noxubee this season. They are good but not up to their class…. Yet
  18. Tupelo, Gulfport, Oxford, and Oak Grove in the upper classifications. 6a Warren central? (Just a shot in the dark) 5a north doesn’t play defense Louisville 4A, Winona 3a, East Webster 2A, Simmons 1A in the smaller classes.
  19. 4A-1A Split after 2025 numbers 4A 471-332 3A 331-214 2A 211-149 1A 146-0 And Myrtle 156 #37 2A
  20. 2025 numbers for schools mentioned so far: 6A #1 Meridian 6A #3 Hancock 6A #21 Saltillo 5A #6 Lafayette 5A #20 Pontotoc 5A #24 Corinth 4A #1 North Pontotoc 3A #1 Amory 3A #2 Louisville 3A #3 Ripley 2A #39 Heidelberg
  21. Yesterday
  22. Drop to region 3 or be a 7 team region. That would most likely Madison Central or Clinton or even maybe Warren Central dropping to region 3.
  23. Five or six turnovers. Touchdowns call back for penalties. It’s like our focus and mindset stayed behind never even got on the bus. Didn’t even know how to go to the ground without dropping the ball on the way down. I’m rough on other people so I have to be rough here too. Our first two games our offense was the quarterback and #22. I had seen it, but I had to let it come to pass before I could speak out. Now I’m not faulting anyone because that’s the way. I would’ve played it too. Didn’t have a whole lot of time to install anything so you pick out a couple of things and you do those good. They look tired, frankly, especially our quarterback. on the positive I think he’s found a receiver that can catch. Granted, the first time he caught it he broke into the open field he committed a turnover changing hands with it. But he didn’t drop any of the rest of the game. Bad thing is they want him on defense too. While I am speaking about defense, you got to have more confidence in them kids between the 20s. I get what you’re doing till you got your feet on the ground. You were playing it safe and then picking it up when I get into red zone. Later in the game started dialing up the pressure. That worked until the offense got close enough and they started throwing to that receiver again. What I’m trying to say is take some of the training wheels off surprise some of these people between the 20s. I wouldn’t be respectful either if I ended this little summation if I didn’t mention that receiver for NWR. He killed us on third down. He can go up and get it. And I mean like go up and get it cause their quarterback was all over the place way high and this dude was fearless. There wasn’t any soft landings either he was getting thrown to the ground. I can’t believe one of those academies up, there has not scooped him up yet. Defense and a couple of missing playmakers That’s our deficiencies right now.
  24. then I assume a North 7A team would have to drop
  25. What if a north 6A team moves to 7A?
  26. I am not at home to look at my 2025 numbers after the 1.5 multis in place. But I believe it may be: 4A/3A cutoff 324 with Louisville dropping down 3A/2A cutoff is 214 with Clarkdale staying 2A forcing Noxubee, Louisville, or Yazoo County to come south, only 1 of those 3 come south. 2A/1A cutoff i believe is around 145. I will confirm when I get home but based only on what MDE showed in 2025 numbers 4A-1A.
  27. Remember the 5, 6, 7, team regions are in play for 5A/6A/7A.
