The one we all been waiting for. West will sink or swim with the high powered offense. I will say defense has improved thru the course of the year. Lindsey seems to be healthy again, so that's very important. Offensive stats are impressive, as good as any I remember in the Pierson era. Lindsey over 2250 yards passing, averaging 250+ a game. Senegal and Watson both over 900 yards receiving, each averaging 100+ a game. 25 passing TD's , 16 to Senegal/Watson, 9 to others so you can't just totally key on stopping those 2 guys in the red zone. Rushing attack has been good enough, 1495 yards, averaging 166 per game. Mostly Jones and Lindsey being 1100 of that. Don't know/can't find stats for Hattiesburg. Maxpreps only shows around 4 games for them.

Okay Time will tell. I'll be willing to bet you they remain 7A even if it's lower end

Do not be shocked if Meridian wins this. It is Homecoming week at Petal. And unless your homecoming opponent is a really bad football team it has a recipe for an upset. That goes for any team playing a quality opponent for homecoming. Its the most difficult week of the season for a coaching staff. Senior night could be included as well.

Belmont may drop to 2A and take walnuts place. Ripley will drop to 3A and take belmonts place. then there is mooreville.....

Have you seen anything on Belmont numbers?

Another way of looking at it would be which team would stir the pot more with a win, and that's probably a better way of wording what this poll means.

you right 4A North playoffs going to be very interesting, maybe 1 or 2 upset in the 1st rd, yea Houston gotta get past by Greenwood and that will be a good 1st rd match up and both teams are athletes and can give you some problem and Greenwood going to sneak up and upset Houston and Greenwood is the kinda team will scary a opponent in the playoffs and Greenwood should have beaten Kozy few weeks ago and beat themselves

I see where this poll is deadlocked at 50% and I can see why. It's not about voting for who you think would win or lose, it's about voting for who has the greater advantage if they win. I voted for Meridian simply because if they do win this game, it would carry more weight and create more shock than if Petal were to win. That's kind of how I looked at it and if you haven't voted yet and are struggling who to pick, that's a way to look at it.

Yeah i can see that happening! Senatobia is undefeated but the schedule is not so tough! These the type of teams that will get upset in the playoffs early by playing a weak schedule in the regular season! Houston just may pull the upset but first Houston has to get past Greenwood in the first round! Greenwood led Kozy 20-14 at halftime a few weeks ago and only lost by 3! Had a chance to win that game but fumbled the ball to give Kozy the win! 4A North playoffs is going to be very interesting

you right they will possible meet up 3rd rd and should be at Senatobia since Kozy is a 2 seed. you don't think Houston can upset Senatobia 2nd rd cause Houston is a sneaky team and will sneak up on you like they did against Amory, Itawamba

Corinth and New Albany play Thursday, who you got winning that division championship game Thursday

Corinth losing to Amory raises alot of question marks! If they lose Friday to New Albany im not sure if they beat Clarksdale or Rosa Fort in the first round

Possible Kozy vs Senatobia round 3

Some of that housing is in the new area. A lot of it hasn't finished yet plus they would all have to be 8th-11th grade which is a stretch. To top if off based on the last cycle and last years numbers, they are not in the middle they were one of the bottom 5.

That may be true on the loss of 75 but the increase in housing areas over there has blown up. Also the last 7A numbers were 960-1553 so they will still be solid 7A middle of the pack

I'd be interested to see what regions 1 and 2 north in both 3A and 4A might look like. do ripley and independence just swap places? where would mooreville end up?

2A will be a matter of putting O'bannon and Union in a region. Those should be the only changes.

2A/1A split is Hamilton 155 and Myrtle 151. 40 schools in 2A but boy 3 schools at 151, 2 schools at 150, 5 schools in the 140s.

senatobia gets last place region 4 in first round and then winner on reg 2- number 2 and the region 4- number 3 team. possibly be houston at tobie town in round 2
