They give up 60 to Germantown
-
That roughing the kicker was so bad. It was a 56 yard FG AND the guy wasn’t even trying that hard to block it. If you’re not laying out don’t even get that close to him. OM’s defense was good when all they were concerned about was Lville running. After the QB started making some plays through the air, they gave up a lot of yardage. OM knows what they need to work on now though AND got the win. Can’t complain too much about that. OM will get better on offense which is scary, but they will definitely be a big play team. Tough to see Lacy go out early. I was surprised Lville’s QB got so much better after the half. I wasn’t sure if they’d score again at that point. They’re a solid team and that’s a good win.

Whatever the "other" clock said, I don't see how you can give another play on the Michigan deal.

Forest Hill is like I remembered football wise. Leave it at that. They have fun and look to enjoy just being out there with each other . I have the utmost respect for them and their parents for suiting up and playing. Their lives will be better off for it. Someone tell me about Northwest Rankin. Their defense looks like they lack a lot of size. Our defense will have to show up and our receivers will have to catch better for us to have a chance.

If both quarter backs are still upright and healthy, the EGG Bowl will be massive. The Ole Miss secondary seemed to lose receivers downfield a good bit and I'm not sure who needs to step up on the Ole Miss Offense because I don't think they can simply expect Trinidad to pull a rabbit out of a hat late in every game. This could possibly be solved by a better defensive effort as well. I have no idea how many wins MSU will have by EGG Bowl time.

Leake High School vs Vicksburg suspended due to power outage

Region 2 6A schools had no open date the last 5 weeks of the schedule without everyone redoing their schedules. MHSAA should have them play an independent schedule for 1 year. Hopefully North Tippah, Leflore County Central will both began play in region play in 2027. And yes Greenwood, Amanda Elzy, and Leflore County are consolidating as one with a new school being built as I write. Exact name of the school well I made that up keeping in line Holmes County Central. The district name happens to be Greenwood Laflore County School District. Maybe the coaches didn't want to redo all the schedules with an open date and probably having to play Leake Central's old opponents. MHSAA should have had all the AD's of both sitting in Clinton and hashed out schedules. At that point who would Vicksburg play. A long trip to West Lauderdale might not have them happy but it was an option obviously. I t was the timing I suppose since Leake County could have waited to July 1, 2027 to officially consolidate. -
Louisville out mistaked Ole Miss last night. The bad snap was the worst but using all your time outs in the third quarter was a major mistake as well. Chambliss is really good but his short stature hurt him on that third down play where he could not see his receiver. A first down there ends the game. It is very difficult to play a good team the first game of the season. Naturally there are going to be some growing pains and mistakes. Credit to Ole Miss in finding a way to win at the end. Both teams are worthy of their rankings.

Cool Heads Soft Points Review with Slick and Bo for Sept. 6

I’m going to say you could be right about the teams in 2A North. Only other teams in the mix would be Charleston, Northside, and Baldwyn. But the top 2 right now I think would be east Webster and Kemper. I’m still not completely sold on East Webster, because I think Choctaw county is not near as good as people thought there were gonna be. But I’m sold on their QB. Kemper has a dynamic offense, but they need to get better on defense -

Nice info except the Lafayette mention. The super weak schedule is creating a fools gold situation. -

Who is getting the edge in Petal vs Columbia ? Petal looks to be flying high . Biloxi could be the medicine Picayune needs -
Louisville is one of the better teams in the ACC and Jeff Brohm is a really good coach. They probably feel they gave the game away with dumb mistakes tonight. OM had some goofs too especially early. But Louisville’s gaffe’s were enormous. Specifically the snap over the punter’s head and roughing the kicker on a missed field goal.
-
Id say both of those are true
-
Ole Miss got the win, that’s the main thing. I hope Louisville is really good or Ole Miss had first game jitters.
-
Spoke a little bit too soon, Louisville rallied to tie it, but OM wins on a walk off field goal. Fun game. I think that pass D is going to keep OM people up at night the next few weeks. But obviously Chambliss is a difference maker and that felt like a game where he just willed them to a win in the second half. That said, this didn’t do much to change my mind about my 8-4 Ole Miss prediction.

It looks like after a sloppy start Ole Miss is going to pull away from Louisville in the 4th quarter. Chambliss had a pretty poor first half but has been pretty dominant in the second half. I thought OM had a weird gameplan early but eventually opened up the offense more and had success doing that. Louisville has done some really dumb things to shoot themselves in the foot but certainly OM deserves credit for taking advantage of it. So now prepare yourself for two weeks of total nonsense leading up to September 19th. And who the heck knows what that even means given the parties involved.

Anybody with common sense can look at Louisville’s schedule and kno that John Curtis is the biggest test to Louisville! John Curtis and Starkville are the biggest tests to Louisville! Kosy knocked Louisville out last year but that dont make them a test to Louisville -
Yes sir. Their first 4 games are region games. I guess it’s like that due to consolidation and moving up in classification.

Kosy?? I mean Kosy is good and they are not our biggest test lol! John Curtis ranked top 5 in the state of Louisiana and they play top competition outside of Louisiana so yea they are our biggest test! Starkville is a bigger test to Louisville than Kosy We really dont consider Kosy a test and thats no disrespect its just the way it is
