  1. Past hour
  2. byhalia and rosa fort probably get put in region 3 with coahoma, holly springs , independence and north panola
  3. region 1 should keep kossuth, alcorn central and mantachie and booneville depending on what booneville turns in. if booneville goes 4A then you have ripley dropping to 3A...........
  4. I thought West Marion was supposed to be decent this year. Gee whiz.
  5. What do you think regions 1 and 2 will look like?
  6. Today
  7. I am predicting: before they're divided 3A North Region 1 - 7 or 8 schools Region 2 - 5 or 6 schools Region 3 - 3 schools Region 4 - 4 or 5 schools Sub total 19-21 schools 3A South Region 5 - 5 or 6 schools Region 6 - 6 or 7 schools Region 7 - 5 schools Region 8 - 3 or 4 schools It appears that Coahoma County, Winona, or Choctaw County will get stuck in Region 3. Also Amory and another school will be in Region 4 with Louisville and Noxubee. And Seminary, JDC, and maybe Magee go to Region 8, Raleigh to Region 5 pending what happens to Lake, Mendenhall, and Richland.
  8. Ive heard the same. I expect the 1A and 2A divisions to change drastically in North.
  9. I believe that would be 4A but then the multiplier kicked in. I think they stay 3A but their towards the top.
  10. Beautiful night for football in South MS. Take some ling pants if you want to stay until the end of the game.
  11. I actually do agree that Lebby has had some tough, resilient teams. Even when we were bad I saw effort and intensity all 4 quarters. That’s something that can be the difference maker in close games when we’re competing amongst the best. I always look at Georgia when I think of teams that can handle adversity, they’re never out of a ballgame. We’re not far behind them in that aspect
  12. What concerns me is just the history of playing there. HHS does not play well there at all.
  13. will booneville be 4A by the time the 1.5 multiplier goes in?
  14. Seems like even teams to me based on what I’ve seen. Hattiesburg is prob a little more consistent.
  15. I've heard that Belmont may be on the fringe of 2A, Baldwyn 1A and Booneville 4A.
  16. SSC was 170? Dang. That’s middle of the road 2A numbers
  17. They didn’t? They played in Columbia last year. The SEC going to 9 games did create some scheduling quirks where that’s happened though. OM-LSU is a great example…. LSU had to go to Oxford two years in a row.
  18. How is it that MSU is able to host Missouri two years in a row?
  19. According to what I heard, yes they submitted numbers
  20. So is Ole Miss ready for the adidas 3 stripe life? I think that would put all 3 schools in Mississippi with adidas.
  21. Thursday Night Final Scores: Magee 48, Franklin County 27 Seminary 21, Northeast Jones 3 Choctaw Central 31, Yazoo County 10 Provine 13, Murrah 12 Collins 50, West Marion 20
  22. If there was an overconfidence issue, I think it was more of a thing after they smoked Minnesota. And then down 16-0 last week it wouldn’t have been hard to make a case that they were overconfident or simply not as good as people thought. But to come back the way they did against SC tells me that this group can deal with adversity. My other thing that makes me lean State here…. And perhaps I’ll be proven wrong on this… But I don’t have a lot of trust in Missouri in big games. I personally believe that they’ve had inflated records under Drinkwitz by virtue of catching some scheduling breaks and not actually being as good as their record has indicated. They’ve lost 8 in a row against ranked teams and have definitely struggled on the road against quality opposition. Drinkwitz’s best win there is probably a bowl game against Ohio State a few years ago where Ohio State had a ton of opt outs. This would be one of the better wins they’ve had under Drinkwitz, especially in terms of road wins. Mizzou of recent years doesn’t win this game and I’m not sold yet that this group is any different than previous year Mizzou teams. They may not be as good, actually.
  23. State is nowhere close enough to be good enough to be looking ahead. Missouri is the total focus and they are a top twenty team to boot. I don’t think you have any worries about that happening. The teams are pretty evenly matched but State’s speed and athleticism should give us an edge. Plus the crowd will help carry us as well. I was looking at the tickets remaining and it looks like maybe one thousand give or take. So I think crowd might be right at 60K which will make it a rowdy atmosphere .
  24. Mizzou is certainly good enough to beat us. My concern is the hype we’ve generated probably has developed overconfidence by now. Guys like Saban and Kirby have a pessimistic temperament that killed complacency. I don’t just don’t see that in Lebby as of now. There’s always a good chance of hitting the “mount stupid” peak in the Dunning-Kruger chart when a recently bad team finally gets momentum going. But as you said, this game being a home helps us out substantially
  25. Collins 50 West Marion 20 Final
  26. Yes but it also took some time for Collins to grow up
  27. Collins 50 West Marion 12 4 minutes left
