Bama @ State. On paper this game should be won by Bama. They are a better team across the board. State being at home is a plus, the fact that it has been three years since State played Bama means virtually every player is playing them with a clean slate. What happened previously has no bearing on this game. I think State is the hungrier team. All that to say, Bama probably wins 34-31 but I won’t be surprised if State comes out the victor. Florida-Missouri. I was impressed with Missouri’s physicality last Saturday. That was a very tough game against State. I actually like Missouri here. Florida is going to be flat after two emotional wins against Auburn & Ole Miss. Plus they have been hearing how good they are now. Missouri wins 27-21 in a lower scoring game than expected. I agree that the future could be promising assuming Tville continues to stay in 1A. They will never get back to where they were, but I believe that they can get back to contending as a heavyweight in 1A in the next few years. This is Stringer’s year to make a run similar to Tville’s last year. They have 12-13 seniors who have learned how to taste glimpses of success the past few years. If Stringer is going to finally get over the hump under Brady and make a title run, this is the year. Last night was a good starting point whether Taylorsville is down or not.
