Pontotoc is returning 16-17 starters and New Hope is much more athletic and better coached than Lafayette Co. and Lafayette has never beaten West Point in recent past. Lafayette County CHOSE to end the crosstown classic because of their incompetence and inability to field a competitive team and picked up Port Gibson instead. It has been a very nice town but the “good ole boy” agenda catches up to everyone eventually (just check out the Wayne County threads). Everyone in charge is coating each others pockets and not doing their job.

Really? A couple yrs ago I attended an Ole Miss game and the only place I could get a place to stay was in Grenada. I thought it was a nice town.
