I really think people need to check the numbers that Heidelberg turns in. There is no way that school is that close to 1A numbers.

As well they should if that happened. Now I can say this about them. When I have been at an OG home game, their student section at times does seem to be more interested at doing other things besides watching the game. Seems like it is more of a social gathering amongst friends for them.

Nothing to do with the playing of the game, but what did the Oak Grove student section do to be suspended from student section privileges being taken away at all athletic events until further notice. I was there and saw nothing out of the ordinary happen.

I'm hearing that Saltillo and Lafayette may swap classes, Corinth will stay 4A and Pontotoc will drop down to 4A, Ripley and North Pontotoc will drop down to 3A. lawd at the rumors.

Well, I hope the MHSAA asks the MDE to verify these numbers and don't just leave it up to the "good ole boys" to report honestly.

If State’s OL continues to perform then I think the offensive pieces this year are really strong. I think they’ve got legitimate depth at WR and RB that they haven’t had all that often. I think they’re good in the secondary, solid at LB (getting Tillman back should help), and just kinda OK on the DL. They’re gonna have some games where they give up a bunch of yards and points I fear. But Arnett so far has employed a bend but don’t break style and it’s worked. Certainly worked a lot better than whatever the heck Coleman Hutzler was trying to do. I also think it helps that State seems to have hit on more portal additions this year than the past couple of years.

If State can surround him with a tough competent squad like what Auburn had around Cam Newton( only Fairley a DL off that team made an NFL roster) I think the next 2 years may be really fun to watch.

West Point may start 0-5 since they have Ruston LA following Tupelo. Winona and Noxubee County will probably play twice with the winner repping the north 3A in Starkville. Noxubee is @ Winona on 10/9/26

He will be a first round draft pick in 2028. Possibly a high first round draft pick. Potential is off the charts and he seems to have really developed as a passer in the offseason. He’s not going to dominate every game but he’s the kind of talent that gives State a chance just about any day. You feel like he’s good enough to will State to some wins by himself. Not unlike what Chambliss has done for OM at times. To put up that kind of performance in your first ever road start, against a decent team, was crazy impressive. I’m fascinated to see what he does this week against SC. If State wins again then the hype will be off the charts for those back to back home games against Mizzou and Bama.

Just my guess is you avoid dealing homecoming parades and Friday game preparing by getting the info sent in on a Monday. It will be interesting to see how the 1.5 multiplier changes some schools classification. Also those who gained and those lost kids that puts them in a different classification up or down.

The link to reclassification was sent to principal emails today. If necessary have superintendent, principal, and athletic director meet to make sure is feeled out correctly and submitted with September's enrollment by September 21st, 2026. Last day to update form is September 28th, 2026.

on the flip side, How good is Kamario Taylor? SEC final and College football final shows were raving about him. Sunday morning. It wasn't just that he was hitting open receivers, the passes were so spot-on, the receivers didn't even break stride. His passing motion is effortless. It’s also also looking more likely that they’re gonna repeat as state champs too since everyone in the south keeps taking turns each week of falling face first. I agree. After watching Enterprise and Clarkdale face Stringer back to back weeks, I actually thought Enterprise looked slightly better. I say they win one of those and clinch the four seed. I doubt they can beat Mize, but I don’t think it will necessarily be a blowout. 6-4 overall. 7-3 if they can beat both Bay Springs and Clarkdale.

Not at all. Actually played well. It was a one possession game and HHS had the ball, fumbled it for an OG scoop and score. That was a possible 14pt swing. Lose to Biloxi this week then there will be some concern.
