Is it fair to say that they are recruiting against one another, so how, or can you, regulate that at all given two separate governing bodies? The way it is, the bigger school in the area with the most money, whether MHSAA or MAIS, is going to end up with all the athletes. It's just like college is going. They're going to NIL them up from the smaller schools. The toothpaste is out of the tube. There's no putting it back at either level. It's pay to play.

There are a few current AISA schools that would be better served playing in MAIS.

South Jones won’t have much this year I don’t think.

South Jones Petal are probably the 2 toughest non region games. Anxious to see how Wayne County will be. But its a two team race in the region

Schedule is quiet weak. Petal did number on them last year so will have to see.

Nobody will want to go watch a game in Jackson. They will do it, but they won’t want to do it.

There will be no merger, at least for now. Anything is possible of course, but the dynamics of the organizations and member schools does not lend itself to a clean merger involving all members.
