  1. Past hour
  2. I remember that. Something like every single starter and almost half the second string were seniors in 02.
  3. He interviewed at Pascagoula last year and had applied at Wayne County before removing himself when that fiasco was heating up and Hathorn threatened the board with a lawyer for firing Hankins.
  4. Today
  5. TX finally plays a whole game and wins by 6 If Taylor and Bothwell play, State by 4. If not, OK by at least 2 TDs LSU close Bama, KY and TN big Vegas usually knows what’s up though and they have SC favored over TN. That’s crazy after TN just dominated Bama.
  6. Yesterday
  7. D'Iberville went from State Champs in 2002 to 0-9 in 2003.
  8. 2010 Ackerman was pretty close. And then made 3rd round in 2011
  9. Im sure it was culture shock to him when he got to Hattiesburg and saw how things are also ran around the state. For those who dont know, he came from one of the most successful high school programs in the country and probably a top 5 program in Georgia. (Valdosta High school)
  10. Yep! I’m going to say at West Point they have to do something. Have they ever been 0-7? Has anyone ever gone from state runner up to 0-7?
  11. If lacey leave hattiesburg he leaves Mississippi unless it's a job at the next level. It was always a 3-5 year plan with him and honestly if he wouldve won state last year he would have left. He doesn't like how sports are ran in Mississippi (he's on record saying that). Alabama or Georgia is ultimately where he wants to be.

    Class 6a south 2026

Trap Game! With West Jones looming next week this one scares me. West Jones can look ahead all they want to. They have either Jim Hill or Forest Hill this week.
  13. Hattiesburg and GC has shaped up to be a huge game. Lacey can't lose to GC or things could get rocky for him
  14. Now that's more like it LOL. I knew there had to be somebody out there.
  15. Texas is a weird team to reconcile because I totally agree they are tending the wrong way but at the same time they have wins over Ohio State and at Tennessee. So nothing seems to be off the table with them.
  16. Where does Lacey go?? Hard to imagine he leaves a great situation like he has right now.
  17. That's not all that talks. Some stuff stepped in talks too. Laurel's streets are brick also If Hattiesburg happens to be doing a search my gut tells me they will try to get T.V. back
  18. If that's the move they will make it will be clear immediately when the season ends. . Him being that close and available to talk to it will already be done. All Unle Rukus has to do is step down and announce it
  19. Hattiesburg doesn’t necessarily pay better than Wayne County. And even if it does, there are other factors that I’m not touching on that could drive some to not want to take certain jobs.
  20. No Laurel is Brick Stadium. I cannot believe you would compare Madison to Hattiesburg/ Laurel when it comes to the street juice and smell
  21. It definitely would be a good fit. Personally, if I was PRCC - I would go after Webster at ECCC. He is a young, hungry coach that has done a relatively good job of recruiting to a place that traditionally has been tough to recruit to. He has had some real success there as well (led them to State Title game in 2024.) At PRCC, he would have more resources to lure in talent and a better overall place to live.
  22. I think TX is headed in the wrong direction. Manning has been way over rated. OM wins by 10+ Even as bad as Mateer and OK offense has been State defense has been worse last couple of weeks. Only way State wins is if KT and Fluff are 90-95% and don't get reinjured. And i don't think either are there. Hope I'm wrong but OK wins by 2 TD's. LSU big. SC in a close one. Bama by 2 TD's KY big.
  23. This would be a good fit for an assistant from a successful JUCO like EMCC Hinds or Northwest. A wannabe head coach has got to get an opportunity somewhere and PRCC while in a little bit of a lull right now could certainly get back to being in the JUCO top 25 on a consistent basis.
  24. Well, last weekend was nuts. Should be more tame this weekend but who the heck knows. Ole Miss at Texas - two teams that seem to be trending in opposite directions. Part of me wonders if Texas is too talented to lose 3 in a row, but heck they’re fortunate to only have 2 losses right now really and truly. Ole Miss has played its best football the last two weeks, and is definitely the trendy pick here with Texas having some injuries. Genuinely torn on this one, but I’m gonna take Texas to have a get right game at home and win 30-24. Oklahoma at State - is Kamario playing? Answer that question and I’ll tell you who I think wins. I think this game is going to be sloppy regardless. If it’s Puckett vs Mateer then the sequel to 3-2 is in play. The talk as we sit here today seems to be leaning toward Kamario plays. If he does, I trust him to make more plays than the OU offense. This prediction doesn’t count if Kamario is out, but I’m taking State 24-20 in this one. LSU at Auburn - well, this one is suddenly more interesting than anyone expected. Can LSU finally win one on the road? I lean yes. I am currently of mind that AU’s win last week was kinda fluky and I want to see them play well two weeks in a row. But I have LSU winning this one something like 28-17. Tennessee at South Carolina - in a season full of lessons games, this feels like one for sure. SC is even favored here. It seems like SC found a little something in that Florida game, and I think they are a talented team even with the slow start. I’m taking SC at home by a field goal. Texas A&M at Bama - tough couple of weeks for the Tide, but A&M stinks. Bama by 3 TD’s. Vandy at Kentucky - yall ready to talk to your kids about 7-1 Kentucky? Because that’s about to be a thing. Cats have big November full of meaningful games, don’t think they’ll have any issues with Vandy. I can’t in good conscience pick a team that lost to the 2026 Arkansas razorbacks
