Too many mistakes. Kamario appears to be playing with too much adrenaline. Numerous overthrows today. Just a tough day overall. And give credit to Alabama. They were overall the better team and that is being reflected in the score.
-
Lengthy suspensions and heavy fines need to start getting handed out or this nonsense is gonna continue. Something has got to be done to rid the game of this travel ball culture.
-
Take away the Bama turnovers and dumb penalties, it’s a blowout. Take away the State turnovers and it’s either tied or a State lead.
-
kamario is not healthy
- Today
-
pontotoc at shannon as well as hazelhurst at port gibson that I am aware of currently
-
Bama up 28-17 at half. Sloppy game on both sides. Kamario has not been sharp. I honestly feel like Bama should be up by more than they are.
-
Aaaaand this looks like every Bama-State game since 2008 through a quarter.
-
How many altercations were they?
-
For those of you posting scores who actually give the names of BOTH schools involved, thank you.
-
Not sure Mr Neaves and crew can enjoy their fall break with all the altercation video to analyze. Much fines and suspensions upcoming for such behavior.

Hazlehurst 49-40

who won the port gibson vs hazelhurst fight? looked like a good one
-
all one has to do with new albany is run the ball. new albany has no answer for a strong run game. evidently the HC is cool with the DC when this has been obvious for years now

Old Heads Jagged Points with slick and Bo Sept. 26
Rawcones replied to slicklizard's topic in Football
Idk, don't get me wrong Vance has Meridian going but Vance lost way too many games at hhs because he got outcoached. Also remember when Vance took the job at hhs... Lacey was still in high-school so take that into account as well. So saying Vance can "coach circles" around lacey is kinda unfair. -
While OG should win on paper… I don’t think they are playing consistently enough to beat a Boyles coached team.
-
WJ has an almost uncoverable wr group. Even missing 2 starting o line, the starting, rb, the backup rb, the starting qb was not supposed to play but the sophmore backup qb was hurt on the first drive and forced him in, the starting lb/de 3rd rb did not play, a corner was pushed to rb duties, backup de on field, backup corner on field, west still could have won. Overall it’s a state title worthy offense. But they also have a “Speedbump Team” that is there to issue a “we hope you slow down” recommendations for the opposing offenses. They are incapable of covering wr’s, rb’s, qb’s or even their own beds. I can not remember WJ having such a sad group going back to the early 90’s. If this offense was only as good as last years offense this team would win 1 game (northeast jones). With that said. Petal has been fortunate to this point and it will come crashing down before long.
-
The talent is there, they have to get their playmakers on the field. It’s a junior/freshman heavy team
-
I don’t think that’s true as far as an overload of talent. I think there doing a good job with the kids they have which are mostly 9th grade. Really good game to watch tonight though
-
You can't say everything has went Petal's way after tonight. They had to take the game back twice and responded. That defense though oof. WJ had them with their tongue s hanging out but just didn't have the running game to finish. The game swung on Lindsey having to throw when Pierson didn't want to but had to do it.

You can't really refute it. I was never a fan of Vance's antics but just because of that doesn't mean he can't coach. I asked about it in the opening and got an answer. I don't know about it's validity but it's how I imagined it would be. Neither really were at fault but were goaded into it all week . Both came in expecting a bum rush. He said she said. Vance has got Meridian on the come up. They are scoring some points and Vance is going to have a defense always. Just bring the same intensity against Petal. Meridian deserves to win that and Petal deserves to lose just leave it at that. That's one I'm circling . Hattiesburg on the other hand has never really got on their feet so far with district looming. -
I understand your logic but this game will be close and I like Collins to win it
-
48-45 OG according to MaxPreps
-
I would let Itawamba get 1st and see Louisville and they will get blow out and Itawamba haven't played nobody should have lost to New Albany if that game did get finish
