  1. Past hour
  2. Despite the outcomes overall, I still believe Picayune, PRC, Gautier and Pascagoula are good enough to win the region and Hancock and Long Beach are showing they are good enough to throw wrenches in things. Shoot, who is to say they cannot win it either?
  3. Today
  4. They’ll need to beat 2 in-district to have a shot. Nobody would assume they’d stand a chance vs OG, Brandon or Petal. So they’d needs wins vs NWR and Pearl to have a shot at playoffs. We’re about to find out tonight. A loss vs Pearl means they’ve gotta stand around and wait on the other Region 3 teams to beat up on each other to get back into the convo
  5. I was told last saturday that it was his MCL but not sure if accurate info.
  6. He played game 2 at 1st and Craddock played game 1 at 1st. Honestly it looked like a more natural position for Craddock, but Milewski did good. State tried to turn a double play last night in game 2, but the ball didn’t get to Milewski in time. That wasn’t his fault at all. Burke Lee Mabeus started game 1 at catcher and did great. James did game 2 at catcher and he ended up getting another triple in one of his at bats and he scored on an Auburn wild pitch. Another thing they did last night was have a 10 man lineup for the at bats instead of the traditional 9.
  7. I'd go research Amory soccer and see how many times their boys and girls have lost in north half or the state championship to a cruitin school. I'm sure there are more but that one just comes to mind.
  8. Shocked no players or coaches from Shannon or Pontotoc got punished. What about Pontotoc QB any news on his injury?
  9. I have said from the beginning that Region 4-6A is as wide open as it ever has been. Going to be interesting to see it play out
  10. Just thinking out loud but in 1A you have Tupelo Christian and Resurrection on two different ends of the state. That's one place it wouldn't work. I don't think this is the problem some schools are making this out to be. What have these schools won in the grand scheme of the association? Not much compared to some public schools. Unfair? Maybe, but I'm not sure anything in life can ever be completely fair.
  11. Louisville beat Kosy 28-24, i think that was the score
  12. Could they put all the private schools in their own regions separate from the others?

    Class 6a south 2026

Congrats to Long Beach. After 1 game of region play region 4 has pretty much been turned upside down compared to past years. If last night was any indication on how the rest of region play is going to go, get ready to sort out a lot of tiebreakers and point differentials to determine seedings and who gets in. As for the two games played in region 3 last night Hattiesburg did what everyone else will do and made quick work of Jim Hill. And I thought George Co was going to have the biggest upset in the state last night until a late West Jones TD gave them a narrow win. Terry and Forest Hill play tonight.

  15. Didn’t feel like starting a new thread, but State won both 6 inning contests against Auburn tonight even though I’m posting this on Friday morning after midnight. State won game 1, 1-0 and game 2, 6-2. State looked good for the most part, but Duke Stone started game 1 and walked like 4 batters in two innings of work. Hopefully he gets better with finding the strike zone. In game 2, State rallied from being down 2-0 in the top of the 1st. James caught game 2 and had his usual struggles at catcher. It was weird seeing Milewski at 1st base.
  16. Whatever they had brought up to WC they ain't got no more. They tried and were up 14-7. Then they looked up and it was 41-14. Pound doesn't take his foot off the gas like the last HC/OC did. They were taking out and putting in those jv and fr defensive players in waves. The skill players are catching the ball now . It's paying off.
  17. It would only be fitting if the Wildcats were the team to take them behind the barn and give their season the ol yeller.
  18. If they beat Pearl tomorrow they fit in well.
  19. Yep. Brandon is a must win for the Panthers this year if they have any hope of approaching playoffs in the drivers seat
  20. A petal loss next week will put them on the road for the first round of playoffs.
  21. Yeah, well…. OG 29 Petal 28 FINAL OT Despite some REALLY questionable officiating all night long (and more picked up flags than I’ve ever seen in 1 game) courtesy of the Thursday night game change, I’m sure, OG pulled out a nailbiter in OT on a gutsy call to go for 2 at the end. Boyles is a great coach. No doubt about it. But give it to Causey at OG. That 2pt conversion at the end showed how big a boss he is. Ballsy call. Brandon comes to town next week - setting up a huge opportunity for a 3 way tie at the top of if Petal can take care of Brandon and then Brandon can best OG.
  22. WC showed up to play it was back and forth the first half. The defense made some adjustments at halftime and really got after their tails the second half. Coach Lampley called a good game and the guys executed well. I had heard rumblings that Stone was the big dog in the region so this is a big win for WC.
  23. Picayune an Poplarvile are diversified in their running game. GC is trying to be that, but all I saw in the 2nd half was QB run.
  24. West 1st drive. 8 plays from their 20 to go 40. Only 1 run. Threw interception GC returned to 50. Was good play by gc lb. 2nd drive 2 play then interception ball bounced off wr hands. 3rd drive 1 play interception defender knocked ball into air another got it. 4th turnover on downs around gc 35 5th turnover on downs inside gc 40. George had the ball 17 of the first 20 minutes.
