Ocean Springs will win with a running clock.  Warren and Gulfport will be a dog fight, but I think Warren can pull it out.  West Jones defensive front will be too much for East Central, I see them winning by two touchdowns.

I think we were on the same brain wave with our picks.  Great 2nd post there!

Awful lot of people have Ocean Springs winning this game easily. I say pump the brakes and realize that NW Rankin not only made the playoffs in a tough division, but only lost to both Brandon and Oak Grove by one score. The Greyhounds will need to tighten up their defense and also continue that running game to compliment the one man offense that Hubbard can be. Lots of players sat last week with nagging injuries and the flu bug, so hopefully getting back to full strength will help. I’ve got O.S. winning, of course, but know that NW Rankin has a good team.

Gulfport is good enough to win against a really tough W.C., especially at home, but had better play turnover free. Being at home should help. I’ll call this one a toss up.

I think the true toss up would be East Central vs. West Jones.  That game could literally go either way and if either team won it wouldn't surprise me one bit.  There are valid arguments for East Central winning and there are valid arguments for West Jones winning.  If there is an advantage in this game it would simply be the home team in West Jones because they would have their home crowd behind them.  That seems to be the only advantage in this one which isn't much because East Central could make that a moot point as well.

Home crowds at WJ weren't what the normally are this season. When HHS went there it was not a good crowd at all for them

OG beat NWR by 3 TDs. But they did play Brandon close.. which idk how to gauge that. They don’t have much on defense but they do have a really good WR that can hurt some feelings. They won’t beat OS but they aren’t running clock bad.

Lawdy Dub, I didn't realize there was two levels of badness LOL!

My bad! I knew that they played somebody close, and it was Warren Central along with their neighbors in Brandon. Anybody saying “running clock” are probably not informed.
