BrickCity
Is the eat dirt rivalry more important and more historic than the lil brown jug?
maroontide06
I don’t even want to begin to take a gander at what this thread is about. I’m comedically deficient.

TigersFan
The Little Brown Jug has been played longer and has a longer history even surviving the year of Katrina, but has lost some of its importance since it has not affected the schools playoff implications for a while and the schools have maybe rivals that have taken some of the attention off of it. It is still a big game though for both schools! The eat dirt is a rivalry due to proximity and how the schools have grown as rivals where the Jug has diminished some. Both are great rivalries though!
maroontide06
Darn, I had to google this thing. I had no idea Brandon-Pearl was a rivalry. But the Little Brown Jug is the premier rivalry in the State of Mississippi.
RMcCormick66
@maroontide06 Does Picayune have any big rivalrys?

Well we don't have something like the Hattiesburg-Laurel rivalry. So if you're trying to find a rivalry like that for Picayune you probably won't find it. The opponent Picayune has played the most is Gulfport, but I wouldn't necessarily consider that a rivalry. It's just an opponent we've played more than others. I think Picayune's rivals are teams we don't play anymore like Moss Point and Bogalusa.
