They have a pretty good coaching staff I believe.

I agree that's what is claimed.  this years 8th grade is a"once in a generation" class that includes a 6-2 QB who also plays varsity basketball for New Albany. If they don't show some spark by the time this class are sophomores then some of this nice staff maybe relocating.

They have talent on par with Pontotoc each year and had more talent than the whole region this past year.  At least that's what they said.  went 0-6 though

Never heard anyone say that about New Albany.  I know they were very small and young.  Played several freshmen.
Pontotoc is well coached and had very good defense beat NA by 1.  In that division Houston is the underachiever.  SEC players and finished 3rd

Itawamba has very good size and arguably the best player in Ms next year.
You got a burr under your saddle over NA.  They’ve only had one deep playoff season in school history.  That tells me genetics may be the issue.

Been around North Ms football and NA never has been thought of as a place you win.   Bubba Davis didn’t.  Ron Price went deep 1 year.   Hill didn’t when.  Stubblefield has had a couple 8 win yrs.

As far as a Qb better have skill guys to go with it.  And thinking they’ll be primed as Sophomores is a big ask.

I would say Germantown should be at the top of this list. Especially from an outsiders viewpoint.

Germantown had talent this year and did nothing. Going forward we will see but as long as MC is getting the Flora kids then Germantown will remain the same and MC will be dominant.

Can only speak on southern regions of state but imo Biloxi, Hattiesburg, and Harrison Central biggest underachievers year in year out based on the talent they have

I 2nd this. Loaded with talent but cannot execute. Heard some have smaller classes rising up with little depth and experience. Should be interesting to see what comes of this, especially in Hattiesburg.
