He’s harped on the lines since he looked at our games from last season. L think he’s right. I also heard there are only two senior starters right now. We should get better as the season goes on.. I like that we are throwing and getting our guys in space.
Poplarville is a well oiled machine. We are three weeks into taking snaps in a new system. I think we widget better.

We had 2 starting DL out too. It’s kinda hard to get a good feel on the defense. That’s the kind of offense you gotta scheme against and we were really working more on getting looks than scheming against it. And your right Poplarville is a very good sound football team.

Bay Springs took Yazoo city man hood last Saturday 26 to 12 at the Rock. The heavy favorite 1A Bay Springs start off  undiscipline by jumping off side several times during the beginning. But manger to come to life after the mid way part of the first quarter. Offense wise look just well as the 2016 or 2018 teams which is lead by highly recruited Running Back Ty Jones  and pretty solid back field. On defense side of the ball look for #3 highly recruited Cartize Booth to lead the charger for Bay Springs up front with the help of very experience LB core they have.

West Bolivar won their spring game today against Riverside. After having the 2020 season canceled the Eagles had the crowd today in Greenville rocking.. the 2019 district champions made several impressive runs and physical  hits on defense.
I thought after watching several teams (I didn’t stay for Greenville Weston - Indianola game) West Bolivar and Northside defensive lines stood out with their quickness getting to the ball and physical style of play. West Bolivar RBs looked pretty good and all 4 bring something different to the offense. QB is smart and runs the offense efficiently. Cleveland Central offensive line stood out. They are huge. They have a really good RB. South Delta was impressive.. they’re in really good football shape, and running backs are tough. South Delta looked like they were the most prepared team at the jamboree. I couldn’t get a good read on McEvans and O’Bannon.

West Bolivar, South Delta, Simmons, and McEvans will have some hard fought games this year. Any team can win the district. West Bolivar was missing some players today but to see this team miss a year and watch those young players today they have a chance to be outstanding in the fall.  I honestly didn’t expect the team to be this far ahead of schedule with a roster mostly made up of underclassmen and first year players. Back in the day,  West Bolivar coaches would be licking their chops to get this talented group of players in the weightroom for the summer starting Monday. Get your popcorn ready.

Meridian freshman RB/WR, Daniel Hill, decleated a LB from Newton County in the spring game.  He started as an 8th grader and is 6'1" 210.  He may be the top freshman in the state.  The video was posted sideways though.

Go ahead and pencil Louisville in to be the heavy north favorite.  I assume there are once agaon several south teams who will contend.

Yea Louisville brings back just about everyone on offense from last year and about 6 on defense! Philly was way overmatched! I haven’t seen this much depth from Louisville in years!
