  1. BTW, West Bolivar JV team is 3-0 with wins against Gentry, J.Z George, and Hollandale Simmons. Get your popcorn ready.
  2. A battle between JV teams of former Delta area State Champions was on display at Leland Young Stadium this past Monday. I did not attend in person but watched film of the game. West Bolivar won 14-8 in an exciting game of what could be a preview of future 1A North Half opponents. West Bolivar was without their leading tackler soph. underclassmen LB and one of the top skill players who has been sidelined since the start of the season.
  3. NoWammies, I check in with the community and do what is necessary to support as many people as possible that truly seek out advice. They will eventually try to backtrack and keep the real issues sealed. I can say 100% that this kind of stuff has plagued the Rosedale area community in this consolidation for years. No matter who the coach is in Shaw during this year or the foreseeable future the systemic failure at the top of the administration will have a lasting impact on athletics and academics.
  4. This matter doesn’t do justice to what has transpired in the WBCSD since the consolidation. This time, it just is impacting Shaw and this current leadership decided to take it upon themselves (one person) to bring attention to a termination that if proven to be warranted, was suppose to be conducted behind the scenes. I have told people for years about the constant lack of unfairness, professionalism, and excessive greed I’ve seen occur in this district behind close doors from the administration. These school communities are really in a state of emergency in the WBCSD. I received backlash when I spoke on the way these extreme decisions would not only sabotage West Bolivar athletics but the entire district. People laughed and mocked West Bolivar on here and talked as if it was an anomaly. They would discredit WB and say there was no talent left and many other negative things about the football program. Two games into the season for Shaw and based on the outcomes of the performances the district administration makes a punitive decision to fire an entire coaching staff. What about the last 7 years at West Bolivar High that our student athletes have had to endure and suffer through? This kind of stuff is a result of internal systemic failure that has gone unchecked and has infested the core. It goes beyond the football field. They (Jackson) has to clean the entire ship now and start over.
  5. Neither has better personnel than Leland. Rosedale and Leland are two schools that in the last 10 years have gone through extremely high turnover in school administration. That directly affected athletics in a negative way. When Leland had stability before the issues I spoke of that program would make the 2A playoffs year in and year out. Same with West Bolivar who dominated 2A North along with Calhoun City for about 10 years from 2003-2013. If Leland fixes a few internal problems, they will compete. West Bolivar is about to go through some changes at the top in the near future. I believe it is the best thing that has happen for our school community since 2011-2012.
  6. I said in the Delta.. Leland is better than the other teams in the district not listed.
  7. I think they can win more than a few. I guess we’ll see how the team develops week in and week out. I’ll unveil my 1A rankings after non-district play. West Bolivar will return to the top 5 in 1A starting in 2024-2026. They are absolutely loaded with young talent. Elite young talent. That’s one thing about a dynasty.. winning 5 state championships in two different eras will never be done again out of the Mississippi Delta unless West Bolivar does it.. three eras would solidify Rosedale in the top 10 all-time in the state of Mississippi. It’s remarkable when you think about the history of this football program that was built by Coach Leland Young and Coach Henry Johnson among many other great coaches. Based on what I saw Week 1, Hollandale(did not play), West Bolivar, Leland, and South Delta are the best 1A teams in the Delta.
  8. What last year has to do with this season? As I said, your source is wrong. West Bolivar has around 30 players which is typical for a 1A school roster in this area. Second, they have good depth and should capitalize on it more especially offensively. They played a team with a 3-star senior RB who has multiple D1 offers including Arkansas State, Vanderbilt, and Tulsa. The game came down to the final play with WB driving inside its own 20 yard line. They just ran out of time. 22-28 game with 4 turnovers and 4 starters didn’t play. West Bolivar has tremendous skill for a young team. People in this town are excited. Parents, fans, community members etc. talked to and reached out to me all weekend talking Rosedale football. Get your popcorn ready..
  9. I heard who your (source) is and once again you are wrong. West Bolivar has about 30 players with a (29 player roster on Maxpreps) but it seems they’ve added a couple by looking at the names. Second, after watching them play Lakeside a 3A school out of Arkansas that is decent this season with a 3-star RB without 4 starters two due to injury that I know of.. losing that game 22-28 was definitely a step in the right direction with a team starting/playing over 10 underclassmen. My pick today is if West Bolivar talent continues to develop they are in the picture with South Delta to round out the top 3 in the district. McEvans will start the season off 0-5.
  10. Congratulations, NoWammies on the addition of a newborn to your family! After some careful thought and consideration I probably won’t make the Spring Game today either. I got to start fast ahead on a big weekend/week.. getting ready to begin the initial stages on this journey of obtaining Dr. in front of my family’s last name! Nothing means more than family bud and that’s what I respect about knowing the type of family guy you are NoWammies! As for the 5x State Champions, I saw one practice this whole spring and there was a sizable roster compared to previous spring trainings. OAN: According to my sources, I was pointed in the direction of social media and just read that according to the Riverside Bulldogs Facebook page the opening matchup today between Riverside and McEvans ended 0-0. Hollandale won against O’Bannon. The score report I saw was 36-0. Get your popcorn ready!
  11. I’ll be attending the spring jamboree this weekend at Delta State. I have tons of inside news to share with Sportstalk but just decide to hold it for the right moment. This weekend will definitely be the perfect moment lol.. get your popcorn ready! IE athletics!
  12. Lol winning? Facebook and Maxpreps ain’t reality..
  13. I let you talk just to say the quiet part out loud.. common sense is that the same coach you discredited won the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 girls district championship back to back at West Bolivar and you didn’t say a word. In 2019, 2016, and 2014 the football team won the district championship… after Coach Henry Johnson dominated between 2000-2013, and again you were silent. I’ve been on this board before you thought of it so I don’t have to explain to you when or why I post. Coach Johnson and West Bolivar was in the paper because they earned it for 13 years. And everybody knew then around here that doesn’t sell out their own school that the paper was bias against West Bolivar. The last thing you can speak on is anyone being “make believe”… the fantasy you speak of and social media isn’t reality.
  14. Wow LeveeTiger! As usual Pistolpete response doesn’t add up. I haven’t watched either team play this year but why is the local paper (as you stated) even concerned with a team having atleast 3 wins mid-season when I’m certain WB girls and boys have each played 10 plus games. Who is the sportswriter for the local paper? What is their purpose? To promote the players(program) or individuals? I remember there was a time when West Bolivar was dominating in football and you could barely get a decent article from the local newspaper. On average, in the past few years the football team plays 10 games and when they finished 3-7 or 2-8 you have been one of the first people to run to this forum talking nonsense at me and going after players that I feel deserve more exposure. So which is it? As I’ve said, I haven’t seen either basketball team play. But I do have verified official season records that I couldn’t find on Maxpreps. Good luck to those kids and hopefully the greatness of West Bolivar ENTIRE athletic program (Football, Track, Basketball, Baseball, and now Volleyball, Softball) will be restored one day in the future.
  15. You got that right! Believe me, it’s coming back. There’s a new organization in Rosedale! They are taking it to another level. Everything I’m saying here.. it’s part of their initiative. Rosedale is coming back stronger than ever!
  16. NoWammies, we really don’t even have to acknowledge these posters on the new MST. They are being misguided. They actually believe that the student athletes are the issue. That the talent is gone. That the kids don’t want to play football. They keep talking about a roster when people around here know it was more kids to start the season on WB roster. And nearly 100% of them stayed the entire year unless they were injured or didn’t travel on some games. They were not only a young team but again played at a competitive disadvantage. The athletic administration for years waits until June to hire a head coach. The 5th since 2014/2015. It’s a reason these posters never acknowledge that fact. The savvy and credible posters on the old (real) MST would’ve acknowledge that is indeed an issue. Not become combative with the poster and support the personal lies about them for speaking the truth. NoWammies, we came through during the time of the real MST. We got rank. This site is nothing compare to what it once was, when we were in a league with the heavyweights. I know you aren’t around as much now but there’s good news to share! We have some poweful community members right now advocating for our students. That’s why I keep going everyday. Check it out on FB. I give it one & a half years and West Bolivar football will be back because of how these community members are fighting. I expect a completely new leadership staff by August. The community understands that WB has the unique tradition as one of the greatest schools and athletic programs to ever perform on the small school level in the State of Mississippi. People of all backgrounds/races, towns, and ages are advocating and even peacefully protesting for West Bolivar schools. It’s a movement. Get your popcorn ready!
  17. Look up the word and then use a message board for what it’s worth. That’s the real issue. You could’ve read where a person who does know me personally (NoWammies) explained what I do and my purpose. These irrelevant personal attacks against me mean nothing. I don’t owe any explanations on speaking the truth. Enjoy your day, this (enigma) as you put it is certainty loving mine thanks to God.
  18. I just received my weekly report of West Bolivar athletics! singlewing and Pancho will you guys discuss the basketball season the same way you did the football season. I believe it’s only fair that we discuss all sports not just football. What about the coaches? Last year, I recalled you guys making direct negative comments about the HS girls basketball coach based on the performance of a season. Pistolpete, give me an update. You seem to feel you have the knowledge to make definitive claims.
  19. IRONEagle athletics is back in full offseason training mode! I’ll use the bulletin material for the kids to read from this site. People claiming to be fans making discrediting & negative comments about their future playing on the next level. Kids just now in the 9th, 10th, and 11th grade that have had 3 different coaches over those years. This the kind of stuff that makes adults feel important I guess. Placing the blame or mocking kids abilities like any coach on the next level will ever take their remarks serious when the day comes for these kids to sign a college scholarship. They’ll never acknowledge how the kid(s) score proficient on state exams or that other HC coaches are recruiting them to transfer schools as we speak. I guess they (the grown folks crew of a handful) will lie like IRONEagle was at fault when that happens. Lying is a badge of honor for that crew lol lol. On another note word is last night basketball season started for the mighty West Bolivar Eagles! I’m still waiting to hear reports of how both teams are looking this season it was pretty quiet on social media. But in the mean time.. get your popcorn ready because the basketball home opener is tomorrow night! I’ll have updates following the games.
  20. I will see you there. That’ll likely be the first road game I attend. I’ve seen enough this year to know what to expect out of this season. The teams roster is changing week to week.. As for the community, one thing I realize and fully anticipate in the near future is there will be a West Bolivar HS & McEvans HS or no WBCSD at all. Things are at no point of return as it stands at this moment.
  21. NoWammies, good to hear from you. I appreciate that. I’ve been meaning to reach out and give you an update on things happening in the community. Will you be back for homecoming? As you might’ve noticed according to social media it’s the same situation as when you left. I might say that a major difference is this community is finally united to defend our school. I’ve read post after post from people with great substance demanding immediate action to deter any scheme or plot against West Bolivar. As for the youth, I have a ton of confidence in the future based on the talent. WB 11th - 8th grade is loaded. I’m going to take it up a notch. Keep in touch.
  22. IRONEagle Athletics is absolutely fired up this morning as we gear up for two elite training sessions. 2025 prospect went man to man all game against a D1 wide receiver in Northside’s Jordan McKnight. In his first game after earning the honor to serve as one of the team captains as a sophomore. Fans with football knowledge and not those from last night who stood there gloating would realize you can’t expect any one player to shut down a player with more experience and on a better coached team. I told this kid before the game what you and only you can control is your competitiveness and drive. I saw a young dynamic athlete step up to the challenge every snap. We’re definitely upping our training regimen after this one because the potential I see in this kind is extremely high. Our 2026 RB continues to show that he’ll be a dynamic player for years to come with his speed and physical running style. I’m really looking forward to training this athlete during the off-season. Some of these kids may or may not transfer out of West Bolivar in January but if they decide to stay then next season they should be a force. Get your popcorn ready.
  23. Go to MDE website and take a look at how the district perform academically. From what I’ve been told and heard today students were extremely disappointed during a meeting today with district administrators!
