State Championships

The South won 6 out of 7 Championships. East Webster won the only North one in 3A.

Correct. I witnessed them all except the 2 games in the 7A. The difference was the south teams had more pitchers. Not necessarily better pitchers but more of them.

Wasn’t there some type of misunderstanding or diss agreement on the sumrall /ripper series?

definitely normal behavior for sumrall coach to defend his players against mhsaa officials changing game days so ripper ace pitcher would be eligible now what good coach wouldn’t i hope he will continue to to do his job for his players thank you coach davis

i assumed they were all about facing top competition.  maybe i was incorrect.

come on man that’s like saying doing away with rules so you can pitch your top dog in the playoffs every game you and i both know some coaches would nothing more nothing less just having his team back it has been fun to watch sumrall coaches protect their pitchers with pitch counts no matter the outcome

don't gimme a come on dude.  I saw the schedule of games prior to the entire event and watched every pitch of all the games. having a board attorney threaten the mhsaa. having a girlfriend of a players dad threaten fans in the seats?  I could protect players if i had a plethera such as they have too.  The best part was listening to them trying to steal signs from the dugout when none existed. Ripley loved playing a team that good and well coached.  By the way, will purvis and the parker boys be the best comp down south again in 4A?  I know several schools who smiled once they saw sumrall moving up to 5A.

stilling signs now that’s funny man this isn’t dixie youth rec ball purvis will be good as always oak grove is gonna be stronger sumrall tries to play up every year as far as schedule goes most of top 4a in south is moving up always some good ball in the south on paper sumrall should be stronger this year but who knows with baseball

South state will come down to Sumrall and Purvis again this season.
