Picking the right coaches and scheme for the game itself are the glaring issues. 2 players ultimately beat MS this year. Ryan Williams and Dre Kirkpatrick. No shame in Williams beating you he’s a helluva player. But in general I hate these high school all star games. Sure it’s great for the kids to be recognized. But you have limited time together to practice and scheme. Offensively and defensively you are limited to only doing certain things schematically. When players get selected, each class has to be represented, coaches have to nominate players, and there are guidelines those players have to meet.
