The article on PRCC's athletics page said that David Boykin would have total control of the offense and that was the words out of his mouth and not Seth's. I think this guy is coming in to take control of that side of the football. As long as David Boykin is CEO of the offense then it can work out for Seth, but Seth is going to have to let it go and get the offense off of his plate. I was told that Boykin would have complete control all the way down to recruiting the offensive players . We will see how that works out pretty soon I guess . maroontide06
Felt like bumping this one back up after yesterday. PRCC only went north of 30 points once during this season. They capped off the regular season with a record of 4-5 (2-4 conference). If Boykin had a clear vision of what he wanted to do offensively, then why was there such of an offensive struggle all season? I could be totally wrong, but I don't see how you justify putting all of the blame on him.
Bulldogs4
Since we are talking Juco football, congratulations to East Central on winning the South Division. First time in many years that has happened. HC Jonathan Webster looks to be a star rising in the coaching ranks. The Warriors have not been a very strong program but in two short years he has them playing very good football.
maroontide06
Looks like more of the same this year. The River is (1-3, 0-2 MACCC South) and they are facing #4 Gulf Coast (4-0, 2-0 MACCC South) tomorrow night. Just let me know when the wake and the graveside are taking place so that way I can go pay my respects.
coastfootballfanman
I was talking to a buddy of mine the other day about it. They have had a ton of pretty tough injuries I have heard (including season ending ones to the starting and backup quarterback) so I imagine that is playing a role. On the other hand. Smith in is in what, year five, and they are still not competing at a level that is capable? His recruiting and signing classes have been suspect for the most part. They have had one winning season and have not made the playoffs once? He has had enough time to really make some headway. I think it is time for them to move on.

They played with them for 3 quarters and led at halftime, but MGCCC's passing attack warmed up. I think Gulf Coast scored 22 straight points after halftime. maroontide06
@coastfootballfanmandon't question your assessment. Your posts are very well informed and fair. They didn't have the horses to go 4 full quarters against Perk and they had two turnovers as well. It's all going to boil down to how much Avalon wants to tolerate/endure since he's the AD now. maroontide06
Final from last night: Hinds 56 PRCC 13 The River now sits at 1-7, 0-5 MACCC South. They'll wrap up this atrocity next Thursday night at Jones.
Bulldogs4
East Central has had some injuries and their FR QB just has not developed as well as they expected this year. The travails of Juco football.

maroontide06
If/when Avalon makes a change, I'd like to see PRCC's Homecoming contests moved to Saturdays. It would help build the community's support for the next staff.

I saw on the website today it was a skeleton coaching staff with him and 3 other assistants. Didn’t see Lorenzo or Ty listed on staff.
