Appears that USM’s next head coach will be Blake Anderson.

 

I think I really like this move, to be honest. High floor coach that has won three conference titles in the G5. I believe he will keep up the positive momentum that Huff kicked off.

ole miss and LSu are swapping RB coaches so I guess kewan lacey goes south as well?   after the playoffs of course.  looks like ole miss will end up hiring Washington as WR coach going forward

If that’s in fact true, Ole Miss wins that trade IMO. Frank Wilson is awesome.

 

I know State was targeting Washington for their WR coach opening. We will see where they go now.

Franks a great recruiter. That RB room has been loaded since he’s been at LSU

now we will see if he can attract the same caliber players to ole miss.  with kewan going to LSU with smith for 3 mil it seems ole miss will get berry from lsu and maybe baugh from florida too

We definitely need more than one back i.e. Lacey. Running him into that line 30 times is/was a matter of time before he's injured then what? Either another back or a coach who will play somebody else.

Sounding like Chip Lindsey from Michigan could be the new TE coach.

Time will tell on Golding the actual HC, and good or bad it’s probably not fair to judge based off what may or may not happen in this playoff run.

 

That said, can’t really argue with many of his staff hires. On paper it’s a strong staff.

if plenty cash for players(over paying in some cases)and coaches is the solution then they have it handled. I am still going to sit and observe how the next season unfolds with the stuff about golding being the glue that held Kiffins teams together. The mood will sour if  the D gives up 6 more points per game and the O scores a few points less per game.

Golding has handled the press conferences well. I wouldn’t call him a premier DC. But he’s decent for SEC standards.Considering he’s had 7 years exp at blue blood coordinator positions, he has the resume for a head coaching job at a job like Ole Miss. I think the make or break thing for him is gonna be recruiting, but Ole Miss is one of the those colleges that punches well above its weight as far as NIL goes so that helps

they punched higher tan normal  with a national figure head as HC. I figure they'll be some high level scrutiny within 2 years if these current proceedings which were supposedly done simply to retain a home playoff spot.
