Shannon and New Albany both thought they were destined to play Louisville in the north final this year and overlooked opponents and simply aren't as good as they were in their own minds. Both got out schemed a few times which has resulted in them both being right where they are, just waiting to see who goes to Louisville and ends the season in round 2. I mean it when i say it, all shannon has to do is run the dam ball and then run it some more. North pontotoc QB was the only ball carrier all night when they beat new albany and corinth just beat new albany with a solid ground attack with very very little air attack. They played Poplarville Thursday night and that was an awesome environment for football. The home and visitors sides were jam packed and felt like an old school late round playoff game. Yes they are. If Poplarville had a dang defense they would have had a chance to pull an upset because they would have gotten some stops.
