Cracker Barrel name change

Most of us come here to get away from politics and divisive controversy other than our favorite sports teams. But I wanted to get thoughts on the logo change. Am I wrong, or is the barrel not literally the "cracker barrel". This somehow seems to me an extension of the gender stuff in denying what you are. The barrel is the cracker barrel. From a business standpoint, I'm not sure the cost of changing out all the advertising will pay for itself. Am I missing something that the logo was somehow offensive? I don't get it.

One can see why this approach was taken after researching the CEO lady who approved it.

to some degree. I doubt the CEO will change her stripes though.  she wants basically and all lgbtqxyz staff and like minded customers.  kinda like a safe space.  we are not going back there anytime soon

Only one we got close by that I can think of is Batesville and I got food poisoning last time I ate there so I wasn’t going back anytime soon anyways. They use to be good back in the day but they fell off big time. Poison me once shame one you, poison me twice well you ain’t getting that chance.
