The school made the announcement Sunday morning in a Facebook post.

Garvin has a 24-year coaching career coaching at the collegiate and high school level, with his most recent stop being Louisville High School where he was offensive coordinator under Tyrone Shorter.

Other coaches stops in his career include Parkview Baptist School (Louisiana), Southeastern Louisiana University, and Lumberton High School.

As a player, Garvin played two years at Pearl River CC before finishing his career at Belhaven University, where he was inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008.
