I said with the Tennessee game, Ole Miss showed no physicality down low. Tonight has been a different story. Sharp has played his best game of the year. Cisse still has a lot to learn though. He is consistently out of position and leaves his feet. Guard play has been outstanding tonight and has made shots to keep Florida from coming back. This is an all around team win.

It’s been a mix when it comes to guys that’s gone to Bama within last 10-15 years. Raekwon Davis and Byron Young are the only in state guys I can remember that went to Bama, stayed and were successful. Jaheim Oatis from Columbia and Bray Hubbard from OS are still there. I remember Scott Lashley going there then transferring to State. Knott eventually transferred to Ole Miss and ECU. Brandon Turnage a Lafayette County kid started there and I think in the transfer portal now. Kadarius Calloway from Philly started off there and now at Cal.

He’ll be at State in 2 years. Different positions but it gives me Nigel Knott from 2016 vibes. Both outstanding high school guys in MS but goes to Bama and gets lost in the shuffle. I could be wrong with Hill though. Hopefully he shines and succeeds there.

Man yesterday I listened to a 2 min part of a podcast on there with Jase’s mom and a guy that’s a Bama burner account that had me cracking up. I prob listened to it 5 times with tears in my eyes from laughing.

Hill going to Bama might be the turning point for Jase McClellan coming to Ole Miss cuz Bama fans been giving his mom hell today on X and she giving it back.

I think a lot of folks say Arkansas, Bama and A&M thinking they’re the team that they’ve been prior but this year they have just been ok. Arkansas had a big win against Duke but they also lost to UNCG. Both A&M and Arkansas has lost to Memphis so that tells me Ole Miss is capable of beating both. Bama doesn’t have the inside presence as they have in years.

Wednesday is def a huge game and could make or break whether I sound stupid or not. Tonight just reminded me of the Georgia football game. Team thinking they were ready but the bright lights, home crowd and a team on a mission caused it to be lopsided. Our bigs weren’t ready and didn’t show an ounce of physicality. Guards too busy watching the ball allowing their guy to move without the ball causing open shots. Also too many back door screens that never adjusted to. Let’s not forget I was an Ole Miss doubter earlier in the season. I now see all the potential we have as a TEAM. Gotta play together as a TEAM though.

For one I think we’re overvaluing the SEC. It’s a good conference this year but not a great conference. It might just be that there’s so much parody in all of the NCAA this year. No conference has really stuck out as being above and beyond. The ACC is down compared to recent years, so is the Big 10. Big East is usually a decent conference but they’re hard to gauge so far. Bama struggled today against a bad Vandy team and A&M is struggling at home against a bad LSU team. I just think it’s easier to be a top five SEC team than one might expect.

A head scratcher to me was Will Howard to Ohio St.

They landed Bryce Underwood today the #1 QB and #1 overall player in 2025 so I think maybe they were putting everything into that one and rolling with Nussmeier for next year.
