I follow New Albany closely and the only major injury of any type there that I am aware of is the RB. I would be interested to hear on it.

Who are the other 3 ACL's at New Albany? The RB-Hill is the only one i was aware of.

What are u referring to at East Union? They are tied with baldwyn for 1st place and for all I know are about as healthy as can be at this late point in a season. Why do u say East Union is disappointing?

This was the case with the previous HC as well. Rah Rah might work in some cases but it just won't be enough playing against that level of talent and scheme.

That is exactly my point about tupelo and this region all together. So what if tupelo has 1 good player? The other schools in the region have multiple D1 level guys on the field. The 1 guy a tupelo is simply a big dude with a helmet and nobody cares. Tupelo is also finding out about a bit more on the level of coaching that exists in region 2-6A.

So calhoun city loses to both choctaw county and east webster in division and still can finish above 1 or both of those teams that already beat them? just checking.

I think both QB's will not be 100% but will play. Oregeron is a smoke screen all by himself with all he has going on down there. They will keep him under wraps for 1 appearance a year for the following 4 years. Sounds like depositions and PI's work to me.

New Albany is struggling with how one can't simply talk about being good and then just show up. The issues originate at the superintendent and go down to the head coach and then to the parents and players. The oppsing region teams evidently didn't buy into New albany being good at all.

Region 1- will be decided friday night between IAHS and Caledonia(at IAHS). Shannon should finish 3rd and Mooreville 4th Region 2- is far from decided currently. Ripley is 3-0 but has 2 strong teams left to play at houston friday and then pontotoc. North Pontotoc is 2-1, lost to ripley and has pontotoc and south pontotoc remaining. Houston is 2-1 and lost to North pontotoc and has Ripley and New Albany left tot play. Pontotoc is 2-1 and just lost to houston and has North pontotoc and ripley left. South pontotoc and New Albany are still winless and play each other this friday. I don't think that new albany or south pontotoc can get in the playoffs unless some really weird tie breaker crap went down. there is still no way to forecast how it will end up. Ripley, North Pontotoc, Houston and Pontotoc could all swap places but those 4 should all make the playoffs.Ripley and North Pontotoc were supposed to be young and rebuilding this year and New Albany was thought to be one of he the better clubs but thats why we play the games Region 3- will be decided oct 29 when clarksdale and senatobia play each other. Yazoo city will be 3rd and either gentry or greenwood will be 4th(neither are good at all) Region 4- barring something wild, west lauderdale has 1st wrapped up Louisville should hold onto 2nd unless Kosciusko can knock them off. Kozy is pretty good but I don't know if they beat louisville but at worst kozy takes 3rd spot. 4th should be choctaw central

Itawamba is very beatable if you prevent the big play and senseless stuff. I would look for WL to win if they meet in the playoffs.at this point if they both win their regions, they would meet in 3rd round.

wasted talent? I'm not sure they are wasting Clayton. He can't do it all by himself. The catch here is they need more X's and O's to go along with the rah rah. It takes more than that in this particular region for sure. This is the same deal they had with Hammond previously as well. Hammond retired and went to New Albany and now is New Albany's D coordinator and so far they have lost all their region games.

News out of Oxford today may dramatically affect the win total. Corral's ankle went numb saturday night. They are calling it a stinger. I never heard of an ankle stinger before.

Isn't that the same for either a Defensive or offensive player as long as they are in the free blocking zone?

So playing cover zero because of what they had on film but not being able to then adjust when the D begins to get toasted isn't a potential schematic adjustment? It simply just is what it is at this time. As I stated prior, Tupelo will have to adjust or they will be eaten alive in this current region2 of 6A. I am not saying that they won't or that it's impossible to adjust. Maybe they do better next year and possibly have a better record due to playing certain teams on their home field.
