Everyone has a legit shot at that job. He left one HC job "to be with family" so HC responsibilities are still demanding on one's time and family so we will see. It will definitely be an uphill battle for anyone that gets it

You are both 100% spot on. Whitehead was able to bring temporary success but that was due to talent that was mostly brought in. It's really a weird anomaly as you stated. Most of their sports suffer and only put up +500 schedules due to cupcakes on the schedules

Why would people think any of these would be great hires? None having winning track record based on these numbers here. You can't base it on playoff appearances b/c of MHSAA taking 4 teams each division. They may have made the playoffs with 1-2 wins. Must be different numbers out there for these guys, or better applicants but that's just an opinion

The same CJ Bailey that was found to recruiting kids from Vancleave/EC areas while he was at Moss Point and I believe was released because of it and I think cost those kids a year of eligibility. You have to watch out for those 7 v 7 "leagues" as they are usually tampering a lot with athletes during al that "coaching". Didn't Bailey's son Deljay move like 3 times in HS? Just saw he's now enrolling at Itawamba CC I think
