Above my pay grade lol. But if I had to guess.. the open dates we have didn’t coincide with other teams available dates.

Money probably had a lot to do with it. UMS is a traditional power in 4a-5a in Alabama. They’ve won 9 state titles. They had a down year this season. Went 6-7 and made it to the 3rd round of the playoffs lol it’s only their second losing record in the last 30 years. And ironically enough the last time they had a losing record they went to the 3rd round of the playoffs that year as well lol. They have won double digit games 18 of the last 23 years. It’s a private school and there’s a boat load of money involved.
