The Mississippi High School Activities Association will not allow schools learning virtually to compete in athletic competitions this fall, executive director Rickey Neaves said Tuesday. "If a school has to go virtual because of COVID, they will not be allowed to play, and any games on their schedule will be forfeited," Neaves said. Honestly, I'm unaware about the rest of the region but Gulfport has been the most underachieving program in Mississippi over the last 40 years given the typical quality of athlete to student ratio in their enrollment. Their incompetent coaching is unchanged so they will compete but not to their full potential. Biloxi is lacking for playmakers offensively now that Kendrick has graduated so they likely struggle scoring points. Cain is the best coach HC has ever had so they will be a tough out. d'Iberville, well, their success speaks for itself.
