He's doing what every assistant coach does when a head coach leaves during the school year. What offers has he gotten this off season that he's turned down to remain an OC with no job stability? They must've been bad.

I know there are a lot of openings right now that have not named their guy or been brought up on the forum. Anybody have any updates on West Marion, Yazoo City, Forest, Puckett, Heidelberg, Kemper, Moss Point, South Jones?

What has he done to deserve a 7A head job? I know he's interviewed at multiple lower level schools the past several years and didn't get any of those jobs. Did he even call the plays at OS?

Why does he deserve a shot?

Any idea on who might be in the running for this one?

Basically a fight for the 2 seed Raleigh is for sure the 1 but after that its up in the air.

Are they staying in 2A? I know I saw Bay Springs, Raleigh, and Scott Central all in 2a will they be in either of those districts?

Makes sense. Being in Rankin County you would think its a pretty attractive job though.

Who is the next guy at Ocean Springs?

I see the Puckett job is open, I remember that being a strong program until the last 10 or so years. I don't know what type of athletes they have but i'm sure it cant be so bad that they cant compete in 2A. I see on maxpreps that they started hot and went cold in district play. Who are the candidates for that opening? With the right hire i'm sure they can be competitive again.

If Pennock is true I think thats a great hire and he will get the program back to where it needs to be!

Who do you take out to put him in?

They dont have a lot more money I promise you that. According to the internet Gulfport paid their last coach around 90,000.. Germantown paid about 115,000. I know years of experience come into play and booster club pays some too.

Jeff Stockstill from Scott Central would be a great hire.
